Made it over to my early morning stop here in GP. No Friday outbound loads but got a 4 stopper ending in Yuma, AZ that should be loaded by the time I get to the yard tomorrow. First time I have seen an Arizona load out of GP. Should work out well as I have a good friend in Tuscon and perhaps we can head down to Nogales and help out the Mexican economy this weekend.

I hope it does. I'm in a bit of a funk right now. I busted my tail and got all 5 stops off in 2 days and had hours to run a little on day 2 (almost 500 miles between stop 1 and stop 5). I updated backhaul at 8 am that I was going to be empty a day ahead of schedule. I was empty at 12:15 on Thursday, I didn't get a call from backhaul until 16:00 Thursday...even with me calling their voicemail. My next load picks up north of Detroit after 11 a.m. Friday and delivers Monday in Carrollton, TX. I am afraid to 900 it...Tony called me and said the remaining part of that last 900 was a net of $0 for me because of the perdiem...but I didn't go into detail with him about why I did it, I just let him advise me and accepted his wisdom. It was the last paycheck for my wife to make the house payment on time, and I couldn't afford to have a carryover paycheck. But now my wife won't have gas money next week since I won't get this paperwork in until Monday. I don't know how much they'll personal advance me since I had to ask for an advance for tolls since we can't get money off our fuel card w/o buying fuel...and I left GP with a full tank and was going up to Big Cabin and then up the OK turnpike before having any room for fuel. I hope they don't get upset about the way I fuel. I only fill up completely at GP, or if I will be doing a lot of miles in the area of one of our 'no fuel' states. That way I can get at least 50 gal so I can shower regularly.

One improvement would make life easier on us is a thing called EZPass!!!!!! I forgot how expensive tolls are in the Chicago area...I dread having to go into the northeast w/o it...I may need an armed guard with all the cash that will require.

They will let you take out up to 1000.00 advance for miles already ran regardless of whether you had to get money for tolls.

I haven't had a problem with them in fueling somewhat like you suggest. I do a lot of 50 gal. fuel ups at Pilots and generally fill up at the Loves until I knock out Platinum status for the free showers and drink refills.

SS, Majestyk is correct, but I've requested the $1000 advance only once when I had about 4k miles not turned in & only received authorization for $900. So be advised the same could happen to you.

10-4... They told me in orientation that they would pay a max of 1/2 of the miles you've run during the week minus any advances(I'm guessing any personal comchecks and $75 fuel card advances but not lumpers).

I was waiting for time to leave this morning. Yesterday the broker said the load picks up after 11 so I wasn't in a big hurry. While sucking up some free WiFi at the McD's behind the Dexter, MI Pilot. I didn't take my phone in since I had my backhaul info and wasn't expecting any calls(or needing to talk to anyone). When I got back to my truck around 9, the broker had called and was wondering what was up and when I was going to pick up the load... Man, like I need this. When I called her back I was nice, but explained that I was informed that I wasn't suppose to pick up until 11 and it doesn't deliver until Monday morning, so there was no real rush. Once I was loaded, I called outbound and got set up for a Monday...but my phone doesn't like Poly...it hangs up on them when I try to pick up their call...so I missed their call when it was my turn to choose a load...by the time I got back thru to see what they were offering, the only thing available was a New Braunfels for Tuesday.

SS, you can put yourself on the outbound board as soon as you get backhaul info. No need to wait till you get loaded. If there is a problem with the backhaul that will affect your outbound availability you can let them know at that time of the change.

    supersnackbar Thanks this.
