When I was there, their goal was to get you home on whatever date you've requested regardless of the day of the week. Since Crete's pay week is a Saturday to Friday, I always tried to spread my 4 days off over the change of the week so I didn't entirely screw one whole paycheck.

When I was there, their goal was to get you home when all of their loads were done, if they remembered you had put in for time off, when it was convienent for them and then if it was when you requested. Now that was before their big computer take over so it may have gotten better by now.

Anybody else running into the "no mt's"? I swear this is like the third time out of four that there's been no mt's to hook to after delivery

stungjoe Thanks this.

Well after almost two hours I opened my pie hole and asked if there was anything on the Columbus yard. I could do with some free laundry. Not two minutes later I get a preplan; Columbus yard to....wait for it.....wait for it..... D-G Zanesville, OH. That's right folks right back to where I delivered and there were no mt's! But this time it's a live unload at 1800...oy vey! Oh well there is that free laundry

Yeah. Had a drop and hook at Certanteed in Augusta turn into a live load because of no MTs. Maybe stungjoe is on to something here.

I did a really, really stupid today. I was supposed to go down 81 then across 70/68, delivering to Paragould, AR.
I kept going down 81 and didn't remember I was supposed to go across 68 until I was past New Market, VA. That's around the 260 mile marker, or approximately 95 miles past I-70. OOOOOPS. Determined that continuing down 81 to 40 and picking up 412 in Jackson would only add 21 miles to the trip, while backtracking to I-70 would have been 190 more miles...and since my second fuel stop is at the very end of the trip, I can still hit it.
Oh well...68 is a PITA anyway. -
Someone please explain, sitting at Dollar General waiting to be unloaded. What are the lumpers doing? Loading an empty instead of unloading the 20 inbound trucks sitting here
-
These ######## couldn't get away with a lot of the stuff they get away with if it was all owner-ops and tiny companies.
"You'll unload me NOW, or you won't get your load, it's that simple."stungjoe Thanks this.
