Some people have had a delay, but I applied on a Monday, I was confirmed and was offered a face to face meeting and physical by that Wednesday. It depends on how fast your previous employer(s) reply, if you meet their requirements, if they're adding drivers, and need someone who lives in your area.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Top pay at JNJ Express with hazmat and 7 yrs experience is .41 cpm and $25 a stop. Owner ops get payed less then a dollar. Just another minimum wage company. They have all this info on their website.

Looked at Poly's CSA score and we are the 4th best out of otr carriers. Heartland's still the best.

Looked into Hearland Express out of Iowa cause I'm bored. Not a good company. Say they pay 50 cpm but it's a sliding pay scale. Got to hit all bonuses and east of I81 to make that. Seems like a US Xpress type company.

The honeymoon is absolutely over for me here. The a/c on this truck won't stay running right. After 20 or so minutes it quits...cycle the key off and on real quick and it goes another 20 minutes. Plus, no matter how early I put myself on backhaul's board, I don't get a load that picks up under 20-24 hours after my available time. Last Friday, I put myself on their board for this Tuesday at 10. It is now 1 pm Tuesday and I still haven't heard a peep. Last week, empty at noon on Thursday, got a call 4 hours after my available time for a load that picks up the following day after 11... The week before, empty on Thursday just outside Houston...it was almost noon Friday before a call. If I remember right, I read that there is hardly any delays getting loads here. Or maybe it's just me...no matter where I go I'll have problems staying busy...I think God wants me to get the flying flip out trucking...it is either that...or he just likes to see me p.o.'d and unhappy no matter what I am attempting.
