Whoa now big fella. It's a little early to be gettin' all excited. Think back about Crete, and ask yourself: is it really that bad.

A/C problems? Heck , it's almost November. We don't need no stinkin' A/C.

Now get out there and act happy.

Or better yet, look at what other companies are offering.

Seriously, give it a few weeks .

Now, let's keep this thread happy... for my sake. Smiles everyone. .. smiles.

Well got my last 2 stops knocked off today in Buckeye and Yuma, AZ and got a sweet back haul via Phoenix to San Antonio for Thursday morning. Going to be burning up the roads today and tomorrow.

Sounds like you are running into some bad juju SSB:) I am with Lone Ranger just maintain your composure and things will certainly start to iron themselves out. It took me a good couple of months before I had most of the kinks worked out of the Poly system(not to mention also going through about 12 trucks last year:) and started to make some real progress.

SS if you haven't received a call from backhaul by 1600 the day before you deliver ( except when delivering in Texas ) call them to double check you are on the board. When delivering on Texas if you haven't received a call within an hour after being empty, call Barry in backhaul.

What you seem to be experiencing is unusual, but not unheard of.

If anyone ever said, whoa now big fella, to me I'd turn around and walk the other way. These are people not horses in the 1800's.

Well, as for the reasons I left Crete were mechanical problems with equipment, problems staying rolling because disorganization in freight coordination thus causing a lack of miles...much of which I am experiencing here as well. As for my a/c...have you been in south/central TX lately? In New Braunfels yesterday it was suppose to be 87...kinda toasty for a quirky a/c that has had every part replaced, and still acts up. I've been routed to the Houston/San Antonio area on over half of my return backhaul to TX, so I think I'll need my a/c...plus if ever make enough money to take a day at home...that's FL BTW, where you need a/c 11 months of the year.

It's not that I'm blaming Poly...God hates me and hates to see me happy and/or succeed at anything. And He is good at making my life a royal #####. It's been that way all my life, and I suspect it'll be that way until my dying breath(which will be a sigh of relief).

half of the worst delay's in backhauls were from south TX trying to get back to GP. I did finally get out of New Braunfels. They wouldn't deadhead me 240 miles back to GP but made me wait 5 hours then deadhead 223 miles to Pol-Tex for a load that wasn't ready. So it was another wait.

I don't work at poly or know much about them but I know *SOMETIMES* at smaller companies.. crap rolls downhill until they have a trust in you and have learned your abilities. I know this doesn't really help SAN but look at it this way.. No corey, no 62mph, no on gaurd. I hope it starts getting better for you.

Yes , I had 18 years of the Crete experience. I know how they are.

I was joking about the A/C.

Seems most drivers are happy at Poly. It will most likely improve. And they have a good pay rate.

    Good luck.

Are we related by chance? Just kidding, but my life seems to be the same way most of the time...
