No. You are not hired with any company until you are cleared at the end of orientation.

 

Not necessarily. I don't think you are hired until you've gotten past your physical, drug screen, and maybe some last minute work history and MVR checks they may do while you're at orientation, and actually go out on a truck with someone. At best you will be on "probationary" status.

 

I know, but this forum is chock full of replies from guys who went to orientation thinking all the background work was completed to find it wasn't. They want to see if you show up first, have 4 limbs, and don't act nervous about doing the drug screen, and don't have a spider web tattoo on their face ... many fail to even do this

 

Man, but that tribal tattoo on my face seemed like such an awesome idea when I was in Bangkok!

 

Till you have a employee number then your hired.{ I worked for Swift many years ago good starting point.}
