BTW....Papa Packard is gonna be a grandpa for the fourth time next year. Stepson and his lovely wife, who just had their first in July, are expecting again!

My step-daughter-in-law has a sibling very close in age to her, so she's looking forward to it. Right now!~

Better than 9 months and 1 day.

 

My two youngest are 11 months apart. Granted the little one was born 16 weeks early (24 weeks gestation), so they should have been farther apart. It's not easy when they're little, but when they get a little older it gets a lot easier.

 

As to Dads. Mine came home a little over a week ago with a hip replacement. Things were going fairly well, then last night my Dad managed to fall. The hip came through just fine. But the bone(s) under the hip and below the knee in the words of my Sister... Shattered.
They took him to Kingwood Hospital but it has been decided he is going back to the VA. Only problem there is no one knows when.

As for me. I was sitting at the truck stop for the better part of three hours. It turns out Roland was out and Greg was dispatching. This is BAD! Anyhow since I wasn't hooked to the trailer and ready to boogie he gave some load to another driver. The trailer had a leaky tire so I told him I was going to get the tire fixed. As I was fixing the logbook and getting ready to go I was told to pick up at Nova (Actually NOV) on W. Gulf Bank. Spent one whole hour there for 610# going back to SDV. Was told about three SDV loads to three different airlines. First one had a 2PM cutoff. That was when I got to SDV with the NOV load.

All three airlines accepted the loads one a little over an hour late and one about an hour and twenty late. But cutoff is when I get there afterall.

At 4:26 I get pick up at SDV deliver at Panalpina. I told him in no uncertain terms that it was impossible to get it and deliver it before Panalpina closed. But I reconsidered and picked up the box today and put it in my back seat for delivery in the morning.

Roland SHOULD be back and not a MOMENT too soon!

They're already there. And I taught middle school for a decade. I'm actually pretty good with teen age adolescent space monsters.
