It also opens up a LOT more areas you can park for a 10. If you rely on having to buy a meal at a truck stop or restaurant, then you are limited to where you can park to rest. My best sleep comes from finding out of the way places to park, with nobody idling next to me, and having a hot meal in the cab.

lol thats my wife, she thinks I am starving since everytime I come home I lost a little more.
I am -46 lbs from the beginning and I want to lose another 60. Like others said you need to eat better, also dont park in the closest spots every time you stop. I usually look for a spot in the back of the truck stops for 2 reasons, 1) to get a good walk in 2) normally more spots in the back because lazy drivers go to the front first.
Keep a supply of food, I have a decent supply of dry goods plus my extreme coleman 5 day ice chest which I keep a few things, if you use the ice chest I recommend putting some of the foods in zip locks or a plastic sealed container so it doesnt get soaked and ruined. I buy all sorts of stuff even frozen items, I even buy and cook Salmon on the road with my 12v oven. I also have a butane stove and a pot and saute pan so I even cook eggs for breakfast sometimes. For heating up soups I use the pot, tear off the label from the soup then stick it in the pot and boil with water for a few minutes, now I have hot soup without a dirty pan to wash.
I will buy things like lean pockets and burritos for quick meals, will strap my oven down on my ice chest next to my seat and stick the food in it for 20 minutes or so then turn it off and in another 15 minutes or so the oven is cool enough for me to reach over and grab my food.
The biggest problem is that people just grab easy food which is truck stop stuff like hot dogs, pizza, or mcdonalds. You just have to get creative and make time for meals, another thing I make is a chicken salad using the canned chicken breast so I can keep the meat at all times, make a whole can and mix in relish, mayo etc and then store in a zip lock and it will make 4 sandwiches or so depending how wild you go on it, nice quick easy meal.

so you want to just wait for that to happen then mooch off other drivers?
I dont mind helping someone out especially if a 4wheeler is stuck there next to me, I know he will be supplied far less and be much colder, I would invite him in to stay warm and I have a top bunk thats not needed. However I do not like the idea of a trucker who refuses to keep himself prepared and just go bother other people stuck when he needs something.n3ss Thanks this. -
Just watch how much you eat, and you'll be fine.
calculate your basal metabolic rate at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator (BMR is the number of calories you burn pretty much just existing)(also known as your maintenance rate)
Get a good idea of how many calories you eat/drink, stay at or under your BMR - try not to go too far over that, at least not on a regular basis.
Avoid (mostly, just don't consume mindlessly) sugary drinks, chips/crackers, truck stop food, and check and see how many calories you're consuming. You'd probably be surprised at how many calories some foods have. -
