A few years ago I hauled a load of Certainteed to that Lowes across the street from that Pilot. I got there the night before and not only did it snow, but Pilot's plow guy tried to make one pass through the lot and couldn't make it...but he left a 3 foot mound in front of everyone. To top it off an empty daycab tried to back off the fuel island and got turned sideways then got stuck....long story short...4 hours of rocking and spinning and cussing....I finally get out then try to back in to the Lowes dock....45 more minutes before I bumped the dock. Needless to say, the back part of the Lowe's lot didn't need plowed...they got it cleared by my Crete truck. There is something about that area that gets slammed hard by snow every few years like that.

Haha...it was like 77* here in Dallas before the storm hit. In less than 36 hours it was covered in ice/sleet and 29*. We're looking at temps in the teens and single digits by morning.

Camping in Allentown behind the Wawa. Steady rain all day but it's gonna turn into ice/snow mix during the night. Gonna be a challenging morning/day tomorrow I'm sure.

Beats northern CA...this latest storm dumped a bunch of snow from there to almost Portland. I spent the night 20 miles from the border in nw WA. 19 degrees +15-20 mph wind...the wind chill was below 0. It was in the 80's at mama's house in north FL yesterday....

I managed to run just ahead of the ice across the south, then sent north into a little snow during the weekend. Nothing to bad though, in Kentucky waiting to be unloaded. Managed a decent week last week(2863 miles) considering I did a34 reset last Sunday. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Third day in a row being stuck in the house :biggrin_25517: Going stir crazy!

Looks like TXDot is finally getting serious about the I-35's here in DFW. I 35W in Ft. Worth is getting some equipment from the mines in east Texas to bust up the ice. I35W near 114 (Alliance airport area) is getting cleaned up now. The problem will be abandoned cars on the roads. I 35E is also getting some attention from Lewisville to Denton. It should be around 39 and sunny today so hopefully some thawing will occur but it will re-freeze tonight for sure so I hope all of you guys are safe!

BTW, I saw a couple of Crete trucks stuck on the roads as the news crew panned around. I hope they're all OK!

google maps can be a useful tool with street views when available..
as I see on gm take I 435 (n) or (s) to exit 9 (ks 32) head west on ks 32 for approx 6 miles and take a right on santa fe rd it becomes scheidt lane..customer is approx 3/4 mile on the left.
    hope that helps ya
