Warning: CRST marketing team sure does a impressive job trying to recruit. I Applied several years ago and get brochures monthly. I can't imagine working for them and then leaving.
CRST probably sends fruit baskets weekly with a 20 page re-cruitment letter -
If Joe Dirt was warned about Buffalo Bob, do you think he would risk going over to Bobs house and get put in a hole in the ground? Some of you guys are dumber than Dirt.
You see a lot of stuff on the news about white slavery and whatnot, most of the time, you think about some young girl that got kidnapped or was extremely stupid and followed some loser boyfriend who refuses to work away from her family and friends, to a new place where he can pimp her out. Well, something similar goes on in the trucking industry. There can be a billboard placed across the street from a driving school telling everyone not to work for England. Recruiter comes in, blows sunshine in your butt, and off to England you go. They can put you in a truck with a trainer who was right where you are now the first day you entered driving school. How on earth do you expect for this person to train you? It's the Dumb and Dumber program!
Whats worse is when they lock you in their pyramid scheme...the lease truck. "I know someone who was successful in leasing." Not without help from someone with a whole lot of knowledge in the industry. I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm saying the survival rate of lease operators looks like the D Day scene in Saving Private Ryan. Sounds appealing, right?
I have these guys come in to my company, and sign a lease deal. They have no idea what they're doing. They were company drivers at bottom feeders. Most of them won't make it 9 weeks. Is our lease bad? To a driver that's been in my area of the industry for a few years, no. To a driver that's new to this area, oh God yes. People get into a lease truck thinking, " Hot dawg! No forced dispatch!" And forced dispatch is the only thing you've ever known. And then we see these people making posts asking how to save money. There is only one answer for anyone that's trying to LE a lease operator or an owner OP, and asking about how to save money: BE A COMPANY DRIVER. The only thing you guys succeed in doing is driving the rates down, pulling $.40cpm freight. "oh, it will help pay for fuel!"
Next its, "I can't make any money."
