Pick up Thursday morning going to Valdosta. When they 1st gave me the load info, it delivered Sunday. But during dinner, they called me back and said the appointment changed to Saturday morning. Since I am waiting for a windshield replacement then my annual inspection, I'm not sure I'll get to drive my truck home. I may end up in a loaner.

Can I ask what you guys are averaging, take home, each week with Poly? My husband isn't sure if he wants to go back OTR or haul crude oil. Poly has contacted him, but so has a crude hauler, so we're trying to decide which would be the best fit and best financially. Thanks! :)

Reading the thread would answer that question plus many more. I grossed $70k in '13 & $65k in '12.

Thanks for the info, JD. My husband had me (I'm assuming I'm not the only wife that plays secretary) fill out the online app for him a few days ago. HR got back and had him sign a few release papers this morning that we sent back in and now we're just waiting to hear back! He's decided that he would rather go back OTR than stay in the gas and oil industry and it looks like Poly is one of the few that actually pays pretty close to what we're used to, so now the kids and I just have to get used to him not being home for weeks at a time. We did it before when he was OTR, but it's been 5 years with him home every night, so it'll be a big adjustment again. Just looking forward to him being happier without it hurting the checkbook. :)

I understand. Read this entire thread as it will help understand what it is like here at Poly. Especially finding a decent truck.

Glad I was able to get a 34hr restart. I deliver tomorrow at 1400 and reload 250 miles away at 1900. Not a big deal though. Broker said it is a 24hr shipper (paper mill) and they would work me in. Then I have to hot foot it to Irving for a 1030 appointment on Monday. Put myself on outbound board for Tuesday. So if anyone else will be around GP Tuesday night let me know.

I'm touching on a post from back in mid nov. ssb. This may not make it a whole lot easier for ya , but it's meant to ! I'm in the boat with ya , & we're not alone. Years ago I had to come to the an understanding of a God that works for me . And since then , I pass the tests more easily. Yes "tests" I say cause I believe with every passing day , I'm given a set of hurdles to navigate some are small some are more challenging. Some blend in with the background so well ya fail to see them and wipe out ! I believe he wants me to shrug it off pick my self up , dust my self off , back up , leap over it and carry on ! It's strength and conditioning of the mind for me . Imagine you reach mid life and have never had to handle adversity , then one day you experience a devastating event and the end result is another devastating event the mind is a wonderful thing but it requires the strength and conditioning your body needs to remain healthy. God sees to it our minds are tuned up , he want us to keep the body working best we can ! Hope this helps , hope things are betting better , and my Condolences for loss !
