ALOT Drivers would Also agree with what I got through saying as well....But people have got to learn for their own...I know how some of you guys and girls come on here and reply back and say.."NAH UH, that's not how it is over there..youre obviously a bad driver!!!"
and yet I don't think Ive had not one of you in my passenger seat riding with me....
So to criticize me for what I got through saying just shows others shadey emotions on what really goes on...
I mean you could be a recruiter for them as far as I know, and youre trying to cover up USA's faults...
or you could be one of those Driver's that recruit other Driver's just so you can get more money from commissions...
Possibly a Trainer who makes money off of Student's..or even a Share stock holder that wants his stock to increase...

Ever heard of the old saying, Any company with a very high turn over rate is a questionable company to work for?
Well, lets just say..I rather work for a small guy than I would with a Big Corporation anymore...Tired of being called a number...
At least they don't worry about Share holders ....
And Im sure youre going to come back on here and tell me more things about how wrong I am yaddah yaddah yaddah...
I mean, who wouldn't expect that if they actually have a brain and common sense...
But I will tell all of you who want to know more about USA?
If you want to work for chicken feed? go work for them...If you don't? go find a smaller company..don't go to these big corporate dogs that have over 300 or more trucks...
find you one that has at least 100 trucks or less and you see more trailers on their yard loaded than empty and no less than maybe 5 trucks on the yard...
But its all in what you want...I just chose to be called by my name, and my Safety and DM managers knowing who my kids and wife's names are.. and have actually met them...

Been here 7 years now. USA has its up and downs like every other company. If you think differently, you are just kidding yourself. I get home when I ask to be home. The money is okay, not great. The people try to work with you. The average truck age is 2 years. But even if you have a brand new truck, they sometimes are prone to troubles. What else can I say?

Yep, I'm just a supposed driver with over 900 post and have been thanked 480+ times. I'm actually more likely to believe that you are the recruiter for another company that can't stand the fact that some folks actually like it here. But to each his/her own.

Ok, reading your post you have worked for Carroll Fulmer, Transport America, and USA Truck. That's a lot of companies for a 1 year driver. What's up with that?

3 companies in one year sounds like a problem with the driver, not the company.

Wow... never answered my question. Not sure you comprehended my post at all. I never called you I name. I said you "sounded" like one of the whinny drivers.

As far as finding out who you worked for and for how long, as Jfrog pointed out, thats easy. Just go back a re-read all your posts.

Go read my posts. Not all champion USA. ive made my complaints at times. I choose not to dwell on them. I also try to work issues out with my DM. Not blame them and the company for everything.

As far as being a recruiter, driver wanting the recruitment bonus, working at HQ, etc.. goes? I find that funny. Again, go read my posts or any of the other regular posters on the USA forums. Its obvious we are drivers.

Im am glad you are happy at your current company. Small companies have many great things about them. Most large companies you are a number. USA is a large mid-sized at best. 2300 tractors. I do not feel likeca number here. I had the same DM for the past two years. I made sure we had a good working relationship. I just got a new DM and have already met him face to face. We both communicated what we expect from one another respectfully. We will see how it goes. I refuse to be treated as a number. If that happens I correct it. Or find another DM. I dont call crying and yelling. I call with an issue and respectfully discuss it and move up if I need to until issue is solved. Its called being a responsible adult in the work force.

In my limited experience with USA they have always tried to work with me and solve issues to a mutual satisfaction. And if I ever have so bad an experience that I quit over it I would never air the issue in public with out stating where I went wrong also. I also would not throw blanket negative statements out there just to bad mouth them. Such as "USA is horrible. Youll get no money and no miles, etc..." many here are fine. Yes there are good, great, and bad weeks. But overall I make a decent living. My bills are paid, money in savings, and I have plenty of toys.

Will I leave USA? Yes, eventually. Probably for a smaller company. But itll be for more home time than anything else. Such as home everynight or every other night and weekends off.

I am sorry your time at USA was so bad. I just dont see that as the majority. I listen to other drivers and while we all have issues and complaints, only a very small portion have it as bad as you say. Yet none of those EVER admit to any wrong doing or bad attitudes. As ive been in supervisory positions before I know thats total B.S.

I dont see where anyone directly insulted you. Maybe somethings said could be taken that way but I know I didnt intend it to be a direct insult.

I could never recruit for any company. I have never given my name or truck.number to another driver for a referral bonus. If I asked I tell them the truth. Good and bad weeks. Its all in the relationship with your DM. Etc... just as anywhere else. I would never tell anyone to come to USA but I would not tell them not to either. Just tell them my experiences here and they can decided. I wont refer anyone I do not know and trust the job they would do.

No.one said you were kidding your self either. Just that your vague blanket negative statements are not remotely true for the majority of drivers at USA.

If I came on here sayong the same things about your current company that you claim is so great how would you react? Would you not say that what I said was not true in your case. Would you not tell people of your good experience so far? Oh, you already have without anyone asking. How is what Jfrog and I did any different?

No sir, The Bad Taste started at Week one at USA for me...
I mean really, you had to wait on the planner to come in the morning to read his emails so he can dispatch you on another load?
This is just one example that left me wondering, not saying it doesn't happen but it just made me wonder as to why I had to wait on some guy to come in to give me something... when I set in my ETA before he left the day before? I know Freight was slow but come on!! I went through 3 DM's in the few short months I was there and Told them flat out to run me harder and they just wouldn't do it...nothing was never late, I always had enough time to get there..and the load assignments were always short...and about 90% of them were live unloads which dragged my downtime even more further...
They made me literally sit on a load going from south Carolina to Alabama and it had to be delivered in 7 days..then when I asked about being laid over..they shunned it off..yet I still took it from the rear..and then when my wife calls me and says were late behind bills and were two months behind on just about everyone of them...That's When I said you know what? You can take USA and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.. no person with a family should work for this place..Its my opinion and that's all it is...an Opinion..and if anyone has a say about it...who cares, I hope the CEO himself reads this cause this company never ran me no higher than 2300 miles and you cant make a living like that...Im a person who runs like a Dog doing 2800 miles or better..Ive even done some runs that Teams cant even keep up with..Im better off running with a company who doesn't have governed Trucks at 62 but this beast im running now does well at 130...And believe me she will do it all...not saying its gonna last..But you don't run a guy on 8 hours of drivetime..you run him on 11 still its just that he or she has to do a 30 minute " supposed break"... and it seems to me that USA planners just cant get that through there heads...I burn my hours out and my boss loves it...cause he knows I can run a Georgia to California run in no more than 3 days being lazy where it takes most of you guys 4 or 5 days.. Im really happier with a smaller company, cause they have all kinds of freight moving..and even freight they sell to those bigger companies..While USA keeps worrying about their scores and what not? They'll never survive..Knights gonna buy them out anyways but still...They are a Joke...but as I said...its my opinion and its a free country..

Again, I suspect foul play in both of you teaming on a Drivers opinion in trying to flip this on a direct protection to USA...USA was a horrible flat out experience for me...and I merely suggested to others that its not a good outfit period.. and even though this only based on hear say...I simply tell all these guys to do their research carefully and listen to some of the guys who have worked for them that have families that they will not have a family if they decide to work for this company...it will ruin your credit, you'll live in that truck and you will become a inmate in a 18 wheeled jail cell...cause that's all you'll have working there...But that's my opinion...But if youre making money and a decent living that's all fine and dandy...to each his own..me however, strive for better...and as the old saying goes, if youre not running then youre not banking..now excuse me all...Im home, spending time with my family and getting ready for Monday to be getting back and drawing another 1400 bring home check...(wow!!, I could've never said that while working with USA)...
