Got a load from GP to K/C for Friday. If I ever make it back to GP. Between Waco and the Love's in Hillsboro TX the truck shut down 4x while at highway speed...starting to wish for a Maxxfarce....on 2nd though, no.....

My husband dropped his first load in PA this morning. He's got a back-haul in Ohio tomorrow morning, going to Waco. I'm just sitting here all nervous about our moving to Texas. The lender keeps asking for additional information because he is paid by the mile, and I'm just worried they won't give us the mortgage because mileage pay is considered to be like commission, so they want two years of paystubs to verify it... Our current home is only a 2 bedroom, 1 bath. We bought it 11 years ago, when we only had two little girls, ages 1 1/2 and a newborn. Now we have three girls, 12, 11 and 9. The oldest will be 13 in a few months, and this having them all share a room and 1 bath for a family of 5...it's just not cutting it anymore! I started looking at rentals, just in case, but with 2 dogs and 3 cats...that's near impossible.
So the job is going great so far. The possibility of moving....I'm keeping my fingers crossed it all works out. -
Messaged Tommy asking if I should coax it on into GP from where I was, he said NO...call Fleetnet. By the time I got his message I was almost to Carl's Corner...So I pulled in the Petro and called Fleetnet...turns out that Petro shops aren't a loved shop when it comes to us using them. The Fleetnet guy searched all around before calling them...even to just change a oil filter...wowzers...what did Petro do to deserve that rep...I mean if it is sucky repair jobs that caused us to avoid them...our shop would have been closed years ago.

To say I have a low level of respect for our shop's abilities might be harsh...true, but harsh. Don't get me wrong, working on these things isn't easy, especially when the shop is in the middle...have to please the drivers and corporate management...but fixing things right once they get authorization is another thing...
Just for spits and giggles...here is the pic that comes up on my phone if the shop calls me:

I've had several of the same issues with the oil pressure and stuff on the older ProStar I drive. Been in the truck for almost a year and never an issue before. They must have changed something to create all these trucks to start having issues. My truck was due a PM and the oil pressure was getting worse every day. Finally got bad enough to start shutting off up some hills. After reading some of the Posts lately I knew I had the same problem. Made it back to GP and got it in for the PM. Haven't had any issues with it again. Ran a trip out to Garysburg and now on my way to Houston and still no issues. I've been keeping a close eye on the oil pressure. I'm guessing it will start to get worse as the miles build up. Not sure why our shop would continue to invest in this oil or filters if they are going to cause these problems. Can't be good business to pay all these additional repairs out here. Anyways, thanks everyone for all the good info. being shared. Hope Spring gets here soon. Think we've had enough winter out here. Take care all.

ever drove 3458? it was the only one out of two on the yard that they would let me pick from. the list was longer. but the other guy picked the first one we found and only 3 of them were on the yard. the other one had dead batteries. it seemed kinda loud when I drove it around the yard.
