Why do truckers tell stories?

    Why do they lie? What's up with these story's? If you seen a fish a guy has seen a shark. This Lease Op just told me he ran 6,000 miles last week.....:biggrin_2559:

    I believe it's possible if your running paper logs as an owner op. But I don't believe it when your running qualcomm electronic logs on a lease purchase

    The reason most people lie is because their insecure, truck drivers are very insecure about their livelyhood for the most part, they see machines taking more and more of their jobs (for good or bad) and most realize they got trained with no upfront money out of pocket and little to no training (so basically anyone can do it), people lie when they want to appear needed and important.

    I've got BS deflectors on my ears these days. I don't sit in the "Professional Drivers" section at the restaurant, and I'm tired of liars. I stand and wonder what deficiencies they are trying to mask by telling me a bunch of crap - while their jaws flap, and my life ticks away. But - yes, as you can see by my signature, I too found the industry attracted, errrrr, ummmmm, - storytellers.
