Personally, I have a hard time with 40-50K for a trailer. I'd have to work to hard for those payments and not sure rates are there for that.

mine in this W900 hangs upside down not sure if that's why it looses connection but mine does lots of times, I've had mine way longer than KR got his hand on them. It's one of them things that are so cheap why not have one.

100% agree with you....that's the number one reason I ended up buying a used truck over new, I was only going to finance $75,000 but just couldn't talk myself into it. Sure like having a paid off truck!

I can't stand not knowing my exact fuel mileage. I keep seeing that there is a scan guages 2 now. Is that for class 8 as well?

If you think it's going to keep track of it to say I get ---- it's not going to work like that one day it shows I'm getting 4.5 next day 5.7 and on paper it's way off. Check out fuel gauges they have a Mobil app that keeps track of your fuel also shows 30/60/90 day also shows the fuel you buy in each state

The scan gauge is as accurate as you make it. You have to calibrate it, which is a royal pain in the butt, but can be done. In my opinion, the beauty of the scan gauge is how cheap it is in order to put that info right in front of you, at all times. It was an eye opener for me. With the info it out in front of me I gained about a half a mile to a gallon by adjusting the way I drive. But it is not a magic pill, it will only help you gain mpg if you use the info to your advantage. Also, it is not a substitute for pen and paper tracking. That's the only way to know your true mpg, by tracking every tank with pen and paper and basic math.

It would just be a matter of getting to Louisville to switch out trailers. Keep in mind, getting a trailer from Louisville is a lease purchase, so you would lose any money you had put into that first trailer. Also you would be responsible for a small transfer fee, I think it's 300 bucks or so.

You're also charged $25 for every 1/32nd of tire and brake wear if I recall right. I'm only going to pull this mercer trailer for a few months and then return it. The trailer payment is less than a rental payment on an equivalent trailer so it works for me
