Rumor has it that there might be an opening at Poly this week. A friend of mine was rolling through the Border Patrol checkpoint just North of Laredo Texas yesterday afternoon and there was a Poly truck pulled into the inspection area and what appears to be the driver in handcuffs and they were removing illegals from inside the trailer.....
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Guess which load I won't take for a while...gjcarr03, Bumper, jdrentzjr and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well, it's almost noon in Houston, I am almost empty and I still haven't heard from Backhaul. Usually when that happens I am headed to Poltex.
This truck truly has issues. It's been a little over 4000 miles since my filter change, I added a gallon of oil last week, and it is 1/2 way down the 'safe' zone on the dipstick already. Plus the sleeper blower won't blow making the a/c cut off.
While sitting here unloading, a warehouse worker walked by with 2 plastic fuel cans on a dolly...smoking a cig. Between puffs, he held it down at arms length..I was waiting for the BOOOOOOOOOM -
Ya me either... and I kinda miss that place. Went there alot. Guess I can say my old place now. P . A . M . ....... parking behind the walmart off exit 3 is interesting..... LOL That old truck stop. Movie theater next door. Good place for a reset. Restaurants. .. blah blah blah.... oh well won't be going there. In a poly truck.

For all. If you were given the choice between getting a 3500 number truck with maxforce or staying in a 3400 cummins that has been giving me problems (another loaner this week) which would you pick? I've never driven maxforce and never heard anything good about them. Is the reliabilty better and how bad do they pull compared to our cummins trucks? I heard the dont pull as well which is a huge deal to me considering the weight we pull.

The one bad thing about many of the 34##'s is they have the Clima-cab system.
While the Maxxfarce engines are problem plagued, they are smooth and quiet. -
I got a backhaul. Houston to Dallas for Thursday, then pick up going to Hattiesburg for Friday.

Good deal......

I would take a 3451-3550 truck if available. The dynasty's APU ain't a tripac but it a lot better than those clima cabs in my opinion. My truck pulls pretty darn strong (3491) with the old maxx force. So far no issues with anything to speak of since getting it 3 months or so ago (207K) now.
