The Poly kool-aid thread. :))) But I'll gladly take the blame. Would you like some more sugar?

they must be fully vested in the profit sharing and are concerned about the $0.05 it's taking out of their profits for the year

I have a map. I can read the map..... just I am lazy and spoiled with my GPS nagging nanny.... I mean my girlfriend. ummm something. it really does save a lot of time over manually routing it all out from the map. it also tells what page in the map book anything in the route is located. routed this 5 stop trip in the time it took to tye in 5 addresses and the fuel stop in indy. oh ya I actualy finished a day earlier then I expected. not because of the gps. thought I wasn't going to make this last stop when I orignaly looked at this trip. last stop was 180 mile run over to Norfolk va. put myself on back haul for tomorrow. snow driving all day kinda wore me out. LOL

drove a taxi before trucking and way back I use to route 15 to 40 stops a day all over florida 10-15 hours a day driving a salt truck dually Isuzu. for a water treatment company.

There is a GPS hanging in my windshield...google maps on my phone(with the traffic tab turned on), microsoft streets & trips on my laptop, and the co-pilot app on my tablets...but in case all that fails...I still have the old laminated map within reach. I use the GPS to check out alt routes to make sure I don't go too far OOR.

I hear older drivers bad mouthing gps guided drivers...but I just chuckle and refer to them as amish truck drivers...like the amish they just stopped accepting technology that would make their life easier. They drive air ride equipment, listen to satellite radio, talk on a cell phone with bluetooth, but shun a piece of equipment that could guide them to their customer faster and easier.

hah ya I think they don't know how to use one. its not just put in address and run. toll no toll. short vs fastest. etc... you know. most of those old timers don't use a map they have run the same route for ever. back and forth over and over. LOL

or you hear them complain they used one before but it sent them into a corn field or to the wrong place. I just laugh and call it user error. the equipment is only as smart as the programmer/user.

Well no love on a back haul for tomorrow yet. First time that has happened off a home time stint but oh well. Had a really nice time off with a lot of good vittles and a couple of cold ones thrown in the mix:)

Got preapproved for a loan to get the house in Arkansas that I failed to get about 6 months ago. Just awaiting for them to accept my offer or bring a counter offer. #### my wife has accumulated a lot of #(%&#(%& over the past 7 years here and I ain't looking forward to packing all that stuff in a moving van but at least I should have a lot of help on the back end in my old home town.

Well time to stoke the wood stove and settle back in the old rocking chair for a bit. See you guys on the pavement tomorrow.
