Heading out for Prime Sunday

last i saw was larry out with his cdl instructer he should be almost done if not finished . he seems to have it togetheir so im sure he;ll do fine ,was woundering if hes staying with his instructer or getting new one just cirous i gues. larry if your out there give us an update .tell us what you;ve learned and your likes and dislikes as we all want to no .and have you made it to nyc or la yet .

 

i see you made it over hope the info you get helps answer any questions i mite not have like i said the guys on it will help you .we try to pride ourselfs on that at prime you dont usaully meet someone who wont go out of their way to help . paul just tell her you can take a vacation anywhere for free and you actaully can . when you get your own truck . do it like this heres how i do it with the kids .in the summer get her on the truck run out of home for say 3-4 weeks. frist week out call your fleet manager tell him/her that in so many days instead of going home you need a load going to wherever say orlando . tell them after i delv i want my time off there . they'll do it for you as long as you have proved yourself to them . then reload out of that area get something going by the house drop her off and keep running, i do it with my kids but they are all grown up so that helps to .

 

thanks ill try that one....im kinda confused on the sight you gave not sure how to post.also how does the pay go i know i get 240.00 pocket before i go out with the trainer after that do thay put it in my bank then. also i know know companies pay you 2 times a week they brake up your pay check does prime do that? also you know that GPS map finders o forth can that work on tractor/trailers also would a real good device to have so you dont miss a turn at all.

i got a very important question to ask you about the drug screening.what if i take a daily prescription from my doctor and i get a written authorization from him stating it will not obstruct my vision or driving....

 

I was just accepted to prime and will be taking a greyhound from Kingman Arizona to Springfield.
I start training on the 8th. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I will try and keep this updated.

 

hey there partner ill be heading to prime also in springfield ill be leaving sunday at 10:55 pm and get to springfield mo. on the 7th orientation the 8th im Paul guess will meet up have a safe trip.

 

i appologized for asking for a trainer so much...i was wanting to know though they say you go out with a trainer and get your cdl test when you get back but what i do not understand is if you get hired whats up with that i thought you where already hired ??????

 

not sure what your asking but see if im right you said they told you you go out for 3-4 weeks for training for your cdl this would be correct.its actaully minum 100 hrs driving. now you get back and test for cdl licesence again this is coerrct.i think this is wre you maybe confused about pay verse training pay . well training for your cdl you are a prime empolyee but you become a prime driver when you pass your test .and this wre the pay changes am i close i cant say to much here cause i seem to be pushing it now for giving you info as its borders with what they seem to think is recruiting which i have not done nor do i want to i get payed to drive not recruite . as far as jd i dont presonally no him however i have talked to him on differnt areas and he seems to have himself togetheir i presonally think if i was starting out and had talked to someone like him i wouldnt be afraid to go out and try it .
