I was informed that schneider considers anything above 60 mph is overspeed. This is for company drivers only. I was wondering though. Ive seen a good number of company drivers going faster than that. I know on my truck with full throttle i can run about 63-65mph. Does every truck do that or is it just me. Ive always been hit from DBL about.

eventually you will be held to account. By signing a "commitment to excellence" contract. Which is , in essence, a written warning. During and after that any further excessive overspeed can result in termination.

Wow a written warning for overspeed over 60mph. HA someones definetly cheap. If thats the case i would quit before i sign anything.

I always have wondered why when a company governs their trucks slower than the speed they do not compensate the driver accordingly. Exp if the speed limit is 70mph and your truck only runs 62 mph you should be compensated accordingly. After all the company is limiting your earning ability while you would still be operating within the law. Absolutely the same thing as the company saying even though the DOT says you can drive 11 hrs our company policy dictates you can only drive 10 hrs. Just a little food for thought.

In any event , it was all part of the employment/company policy contract everyone signed soooo......... you agreed to it by putting your john hancock on the line. It also is an indicator of driver character too , if you think about it.mickimause Thanks this. -
Ive always kept saying you can never get anything done below 65. Besides ive argued that the national average speed is 70mph however they look at fuel cost more than a possible rear end. But really it boils down too saving that dollar for themselves and not worrying about us drivers. When you have all these college nitwites that dont even know what a tandem is. You wonder why companies arent run right. Sad too say they're paying off their college expenses and other things and not forking over the money on things that are more important.

Well my DBL is awol about it. He had a phone conference with myself and other drivers about the situation. I think he gets a bonus out me for things like these. But honestly idc i just want too get loaded and go.

Glad i dont drive there. I run hammered down all the time. My company has never said a word about it.

Eventually i might leave once i get more experience i mean honestly i want miles but i need speed too get those miles. If you know what i mean.
