Crimedoc I'm not 100% on who does the actual cdl test. You test out for your cdl then head out with an otr trainer. You should like it. I'm thinking about going curtain side because I miss load securment but my body can't take throwing tarps. And driving a van I found is making me lazy. Lol

    crimedoc96 Thanks this.

Somebody from the local driver license testing center will test you. When I went through they just tested on the 45 back and straight line back. Not sure what they do now.

By all means look at my profile. And look at the other roehl sites. I have many guys I train comment on there. You want a list I'll happily give it to ya. Everything there is true. I got statements to prove it

Do you get paid for drop and hook in the national reefer otr fleet and do they average good weekly miles, just trying to figure out exactly what I want to do. Getting close and just trying to figure my best option.

I rarely deadhead on mine. Guess it depends on account. Then most deadheads are under 80 miles.

Georgia Pacific Midwest. But I run the longer loads into Muskogee alot. Some of the Dakotas and Missouri Nebraska. You get the idea. I take a load out to a Sams club or Costco then dead head to the nearest place for scrap then head down to Muskogee. Only problem is there isn't alot of "civilization" out on the central plains. During the winter this year I did alot of Illinois Iowa indiana Ohio Michigan. But once the weather lightens up its go like hell

You don't get paid to drop a trailer and grab another. Only if you have more then one stop or if they take their time unloading you. Love sysco loads. Those guys take hours. I get paid to read. Lol

Ah, I'm Silgan. Most times load at same place as unload, but just about everything is live. But generally only a 2 hour turn around.
