I mostly came out here because the load paid well and the agent sad there would be runs back home. I'll be home Monday and will stay there until I get my own truck. Too many breakdowns over the last 3 months.

Oh man that's some tough luck. Get that done and then bounce down here. Another month here minimum, and rumor is it may last week into June. I managed to squeeze two loads in yesterday. One of them was a 186 miles round trip. this just might turn out to be the most profitable week I've had with mercer

You think that's going to change getting your own truck? I got this new truck at the first of the year as of yesterday I've spent $9,871 in repairs it's a used truck your going to spend money on them I spent $1,000 first day getting it ready to be inspected and PM than first load out rear air bags started leaking so changed all them $788 worth, than had to change a few water lines had one bust on the road spent $191 on coolant only for another to bust later that week so that was a $200 wast did alignment and wheel seals with new steer tires this week $1,850 there alone, my steer tires have 50% or better that come off but tires are chopped up and will never get better so instead of messing up front end parts running them I just took them off. The only thing I have left is to do my 2nd PM this weekend and I think I'll be ready to roll for a few months!

Just keep in mind the longer you don't work the harder it is to get going with your own truck. I wouldn't stop driving that guys truck until you have a truck and ready to roll at least get it through Mercer's inspection and stickered first.

Thanks for the response. I think I will go vans first, to build up my funds again, so I can get some FB equipment.
