Would not work for ATS again, it is a bad company. No matter how you want to look at it, they do not pay. We started with them back in Dec. and just left them this weekend. We got the miles that wasn't the problem. Made $5600 every week, maybe put out 1600-2000 in fuel so that wasn't the problem. Its all the little things that add up to where we were not getting but about $150-200 a week if that. We were in the flatbed part of the company. My husband has over 14 years in the business and I have been in the trucking business since I can remember. My dad has been driving since he was 18 years old, so we know what we are doing. ATS looks really good and talks really good, but on paper its not so good. In the 3 months we were with them made over $35,000 gross but only brought home about $3000. That is not good in any way. I do not know about company driver or what they make but they did offer us to come over as one but sorry not going to go company if We can make money as O/o with them. This is just my .02 worth about them. Have talked to sever other drivers and they say the same thing. Getting miles just not bring any pay home after all of the fee's they have. And no you don't get to pick your load's and don't turn one down or they will make you set for a few days and tell you they don't have any in the area right now but as soon as they get one they will let you know. Witch would be 2 or 3 days down the road every time. Good luck to any of you that go thought there, hope the same thing don't happen to you. To all driver's have a safe trip and roll on.

I ran 1 load this week New Orleans to Sparks NV it was 2 pallets of coffee paid $2.63 a mile and after fuell and fixed cost I will make just over $3000.00 I bounced from Sparks NV to Fontana CA I load Friday for KY and a stop in NC and that load after fuel and fixed cost will make me 1700.00 so you can see there are great weeks and ok weeks and some bad weeks but you have to know how to pick your loads at ATS they offered me a load yesterday from Reno to PA it was 44000lbs and paid the truck $1.10 a mile if I had taken it I would have only made $300.00 when I a as done with it, so to make money at ATS you have to be verry picky on your loads and I pull pad wrap and make decent money my friend runs Canada here and he does well also. You have to put in some time here dont leese used trucks here and stand your ground I had to rip a fleet manager a new one yesterday but thats trucking and life in general you win some and you loose some I have MADE a home at ATS and I know those that havent you have to find a trucking co that fits you and then you will be happy have a great day people

You are absolutely correct. I am there now and I am sick watching Brenda and Brett Anderson destroy their Grandfathers' company. Walk away from your lease and find a good company. I am leaving very soon. If I wanted to work for J.B. Hunt, I would have gone there!!!

    I will help you.

ATS used to be a good company. A drivers' company. They had a waiting list of drivers ready to come on to work and make a good living. That was excellent testimony of their ethics.

They have no ethics now. As of 1 January 2014, everything began to change for the worse. Much worse.

CSR is no help. They are idiots.
Load times are usually not load times, they are actually "cattle calls."
Customers (shippers/receivers) are usually very nice, but ATS may send you in with the wrong type of trailer needed. Seriously.
Dispatch will not get back to you at all on nights and weekends. You are ignored (as I am right now)!!!!
Breakdown personnel are clueless to help you.
    Unannounced changes in company policy.

    And many more "things."

The thread here dealing with their lease is almost all positive. The company advertises the average profit for 1st year lessees at $65K/ year. Do you think you may have been unskillful or unlucky? How long have you been driving?

I have been seriously considering this company because they have a good on-line reputation; they offer an incremental flat bed program from simple to super specialized and the lease looks good.

That's the van side of life. You take moving blankets and wrap up displays cases and different items to keep them from being rubbed or scraped up.
Glorfied bed bugger so to speak

Thanks for the reply. "Van" does that mean straight truck?
And, more generally, It looked to me like ATS would be a good move from my current (and not bad) job with CR England. But now I'm seeing negative posts about them referring to new management and decreasing pay. What do you say?

One reason I'm attracted to ATS is their flat bed program which includes incremental steps from simple to heavy/oversized/specialized ...it looked like an opportunity to improve my skills and earnings ...any opinion?
