Some of you folks would do well by learning how to read, using some common sense and going from there.

Start by looking where i am at. No it is not often but every now and then you'll find a rogue truck. So i admit its rare but it needs to happen never not rarely. Some of these redneck victims of incest who happen to be behind the wheel of a semi forgot the magnitude of the weapon that is under their control.

Bwahahahaha that was perfect timing. I got rear ended by some rednecks a few weeks ago. One of them was like "You didnt have your blinker"... So you saw the blinker, but you didnt see the 70 foot truck attached to it? Rigggghhhht.

Explain your qualifications and training along with official govt agency that gives you the authority to regulate the speed and driving conditions of others. Also do you know how dangerous it is for you to regulate someone that doesn't know they are being regulated. Hence that's why the real guys with badges have special lights on their vehicles so we will know. The safest thing for us all to do is drive our own truck not the next guys. If he is a rogue then get out of his way let him by and call the proper authorities. If they drive that crazy before you you get silly how dangerous do you think they are willing to get to get around you. Use a little common sense

If im in a ungoverned semi and the speed limit is 75,you bet i'm going to do every bit of that as long as its wide open highway.I understand what you're saying though about the maniacs on our roads, but keep in mind there's more 4 wheeler maniacs then trks. You live in Calif, how far are you from Loas Angelous? Those 4 wheelers I swear purchased their licenses at a Toys R Us store. But that works both ways, ive seen plenty of cdl holders that shouldn't even be out on our roads. You said in post 593 that if a trk is driving like a maniac you'll get in front of him to regulate his speed, why on earth would you want to do that?Thats dangerous.

I cringe anymore when I hear someone encourage another driver to call the authorities when they see something unsafe. There is a lot of these guys out here that have the mega carrier safety chip stitched in there head. Nevermind trying to limp a truck with a shredded cap to the shop, soon they be calling on you for having the window down with the music to loud.

Check post my following post after that. The fact is I would be dead if i actually pulled stunts like that. Honest to God I want to sometimes though. My whole point is if a 4wheeler crashes he usually kills max 5 people or so maybe more maybe less. If a semi does lord knows if his intentions are evil and he is of an Islamic background and follows the Koran to the letter....... ;) and he is hazmat the possibilities of casualties are almost endless.

If the speed is 75 and you want to do that, go right ahead. Honestly, I wouldnt go over 70 because the cost of fuel... I might be ok spending an extra 5 grand on fuel, but not another 15 grand a year for a few mph. I know a guy who drives about 75...he told me he gets 4.2 mpg! Ouch!

    Exactly...

But it all comes down to training. I tell my students that every hard braking even they get is not a heard brake... its really saying that they nearly just killed someone ahead of them. If they have to smash their brakes on a few times a year, thats a few times they could potentially have killed someone.

So I teach them to follow a few truck lengths, there is no reason to get any closer... it will only save you a few seconds, and might turn you into a killer.

And people talk like its not a real problem... There are thousands of people killed accidentally by trucks each year... its worse than warzones where insurgents are actively trying to kill people. Its crazy.

My company alone has had 27 fatality accidents in 24 months. Anybody who tries to tell me that its OK to tailgate...is an idiot as far as Im concerned.

Wow your company should be pulled off the road. That's ridiculous. You have to have some of the worst drivers ever. Someone should call the dot on your company and have you investigated. What is your company name so I know to warn everyone to stay away from your trucks.

Do you think 70 will be any better on fuel?
