I know that intersection well, I drive past it every day on my way to work. It is at least a 135 degree turn. About one month ago I saw a truck with a beat up 53 foot trailer get stuck on that corner. I told my wife at the time that had to be the stupidest truck driver in the world, and probably did not even go to truck driving school. A 135 degree right turn, with posts on the corner, and clearly marked no right turn for trucks. I told my wife that I was not even stupid enough to attempt that turn. It is actually a tight turn for my Honda Fit! I thought about getting out and helping the guy, but my wife and I were late for work as it was and I kind of figured a cop could help him out and the driver more or less deserved the ticket and probably should not be driving a big rig in a big city. Surprised to see a swift truck do that, I believe they are required to go to some type of truck driver school. The truck I saw was kind of a beater truck, I figured they probably would hire anyone, but I imagine the driver lost his job after that. Sometimes it is best that some people do not drive trucks

ive had to do about a 110 degree right turn in chicago before, It took up every inch of both roads to make it. But there was no Sign right there in plain view, like this driver had. It was legal for trucks, just a pain in the rear end, since then I go a different way now.

That is the northbound I-5 J Street offramp. Yes he almost made it but that off ramp is 3 lanes wide, he would have had to have been in the far left lane and cross over other drivers' right of way to get as far in as he did. He probably thought he made it til the truck wouldn't go anymore. Backing up to clear it would have been more dangerous, at least he stopped and accepted his situation.
