I've recently completed Schneiders training. Had a few former CR England drivers there, including my roomie of the first week. The two former CRE drivers wouldn't have made it out of the truck driving school I went to, let alone passed a CDL, but somehow they did.....Schneiders trainers were able to 'save' one....
I don't recommend them.

I've done alot research on alot of different companies. SNI cdl training program won't accept me because of work history. But the funny thing is while in truck driving school SNI an offered me a position. Anyways I think I'm going to try Swift or pay some guy with an automatic truck with trailer to take my exam over. Only problem with that is very few trucking companies hire people who aren't a graduate from a CDL school.

You see, in order to be a truck driver, first you must work for 5 years or so at Burger King, Walmart, or some other job, with NO work gaps. Which is another reason trucking is so funked up. If you haven't worked in 5, 10, or 20 years and go to school to be a welder, HVAC tech, Chef, CNA, Barber, Nurse, or ANYTHING you can get a job when you are done with school and you are qualified. But NOT with trucking! You first have to have a SPOTLESS 10 year work history at Burger King - BUT - if you've been working at Burger King for 10 years you should be a manager by now and you are going to be making as much money or more than most truck drivers AND you get to be home EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Gosh, I wonder why there is a driver shortage lol.

Dont even think about CR England. I train for Werner, and we get loads and loads of drivers from CRE. Its a hellhole like no other.
I would usually try and send you to Crete or Schneider, but it looks like thats off the table. Absolutely do not go with a company training program. Find a small school that will finance you, and put an application in with Werner. Werner is a very average company, but its a decent paycheck, and it will get you into the trucking industry without too many problems. I wouldnt say they are the best company, but if you really really need a chance, they will give it to you... and they wont abuse you like CR England or US Xpress.
I always tell people to put an application in with Werner, just in case they cant find a good job. Werner will make sure you have a paycheck until you either find a better job, or get into a dedicated account that you really like. Thats what ended up happening with me and the other 40 experienced guys on my current account. Werner cant be that bad if half the guys in my account have over 5 years with the company... Its sure a hell lot better than CR England, or any other started.
Good luck man!Lepton1 and DriverToBroker Thank this. -
Isn't SRT the company that refused to help a driver's family transport his body home after he died in one of their trucks in the middle of nowhere?

I do a lot of research just wanted to see what people have to say about my particular situation. I read a lot of bad stuff about CR England and Swift. It isn't a crime to start a thread of your own. -
I think there's a shortage because of the nature work and pay from some companies. -
I do believe you're correct.

i know swift gets allot of flac, but it does work for some people, i went through their training, hit the road with mentor went solo for nine months and now am doing local which i really like, almost done with my year then start getting paid back for school, the biggest problem i had with the company is lack of communication because it's so big, but now that I'm local the d.m. i have is above and beyond, she's been here for ten years and really cares about her job, i have to say, since I've been here, I've never felt pressure to drive in unsafe conditions, communication is key, with that being said i agree, explore all your options, and remember that you get what you put in.

Please drivers... CR England is paying drivers 25cpm. There should be a law against that
