How long did it take them to get back to you once your application was sent in ? How long was the orientation ?

2000 a week would be an improvement over my current 1600 to 1700 crappie average at the food company

Where do you get a physical with Poly ?

Not those molesters at Concentra i hope :biggrin_2555:

Guess I found out the hard way. Stay away from Laredo. Getting the run around from the shop down here. Now they are saying either Wednesday or Thursday before they look at the truck. Was a mess. Poly are looking at bringing me back with another driver. Could take a day or two from what I'm hearing.

Just to catch up on my trip delivering in Harrison,AR from Vancouver,WA; I was on schedule to deliver in Harrison on Friday (May 9) by 1500. Wednesday (May 7 @ 1525) I sent an Empty Update for backhaul on Friday at 1600. Friday at 1300 BH calls with broker info. Call broker for info on load picking up in Belle,MO going to Sanger,TX. Houston we have a problem! The load doesn't pickup till Tuesday (May 13). Called BH dispatch and left a message asking why. Five minutes later they return my call and say my PTA shows Monday (May 12 @1530). Was told sorry for the mix up and they would call me back when they were able to book a new load. One hour later, picking up in Nacogdoches,TX on Saturday going to Dallas for Monday. Which to me made little sense. From Harrison,AR to GP is 420 miles; from Harrison,AR to Nacogdoches is 429 miles. Go figure. SMH

Well, since I was going to be back in GP by Sunday morning I requested a 900 Diff to keep moving. To my surprise (being so late on Friday afternoon) I was asked when I would be available. Replied with Sunday, and two minutes later it was approved. Two more minutes pass and OB dispatch called offering two loads for Sunday. A three stopper going to IA or the one that I'm on going to Greenfield,IN for Tuesday at 0730.

I pickup to tomorrow in Indy going to Minneapolis for Wednesday delivery. I'm on OB board in Cottage Grove for Thursday. Since I'm running on recap hours I have to go to bed earlier each night to make on time delivery, but that's trucking if you want to make money. Hopefully I can get back to a normal schedule out of CG.

Just had my truck break down in a bad area. They are working on a way to get me back to GP. It's a part of trucking. Just not alot of options down here to get it fixed. Bad timing breaking down Friday evening.

    Mev Thanks this.

They do hire drivers from KY. Read the first 20 pages of this thread then ask questions.

I am back on the road after my hometime. I picked up a LaGrange to Waller backhaul. Talked to a driver at the yard last week that had an interesting backhaul. He had to drop his empty at LaGrange then head to a storage impound lot to pick up an empty trailer that had a hole cut in the roof...it was cut open by the fire department because the LaGrange load that was on it caught fire (now that was a truly hot load). He didn't know how it got started, but he had to haul that empty all the way back to the yard, with backhaul calling him trying to give him a load to pull back...I guess they didn't get the message about the hole and the smoke/fire damage...

Can one of you Poly folks give me an estimate when they might contact me ? , I sent in my PDF app to Meghan Sunday . What would be a reasonable amount of time in your experience ?
