It's quite funny to me how much you can learn from one guy failing, and the successful ones straightening them out and providing their wisdom in terms of advice.
Fratsit Thanks this. -

I was lucky , I grabbed a hand years ago and wised up.
the reason I can offer advice is this, what someone is now trying to screw up for the first time, I have already successfully screwed it up, twiceDeadArmadillo and Battle Born Thank this. -

Are there any other companies on this forum? When somebody complains about the company, you have so many drivers come to the companies defense. That alone says a lot.
Travelinman Thanks this. -
Mercer in Louisville will not lie to you, and they do not screw with your money. In this alone they are better than many of the rest. -
Listening to someone, not hearing them, listening to those who have been there....twice!.....priceless!!! Well said, skateboardman, well said.Battle Born Thanks this. -
Loads cancel it happens. I had 3 cancel in 4 days. I went from Thomasville ga to waterloo ia via Springfield mo. For $602 because of loads canceling. Did I cry and moan heck yes I did but didn't berate mercer for it, it just happens.
Battle Born Thanks this. -
I had one cancel just today on me. It happens alot anymore, for a number of reasons but its the whole industry not just Mercer.
Whenever considering deadheading, I try to keep in mind the possiblity of a canceled load.
And we do get dry run fees on half the customers. Kinda like detention time. It happens and sometimes we get paid, sometimes we don't.
