Thanks for the update LRW. I decided to just leave my rig here and jump into a loaner. Needed PM plus the APU wasn't working so I knew there was going to be no love getting that done in a timely manner. Rolling out of GP 0400 and taking a weekend break in Arkansas before Searcy and then probably doing the same load again next week for a more substantial time off. Turned in 7 trips with over 12,000 miles and I lost count of the extra drops and p/u's so should be a pretty nice check next week:)

You're welcome. Sounds like things are getting closer to normal for you again. I took some nice home time in Arkansas last week. Mainly mentioned that to say I took another KC load which usually is the load I most commonly get to go home. No problems with it as usual. They can load it up early and I can sit on it for home time and then deliver. Anyways, just thought I'd let you know we are still doing those crap Del-Monte loads. I hadn't had one the last seven times to KC and thought maybe we had quit doing them. Now I know we haven't and still SOS...5 hour live load and 4 hour live unload. Gotta love it. Still say it so needs to be Drop & Hook. Geez! Enjoy your time off. Take care out there. :)

I would hate to think that's a deal breaker.

Of the 2, I would rather be on elog as well, but I wouldn't let that minor issue be the deciding factor of working for someone or not.

So you guys are paid monthly or big weekly ?

I've always thought getting paid once or twice a month is simpler

You are paid on Fridays...assuming you were able to get your paperwork turned in before the cutoff.(Sunday night in GP, or Friday's FedEx cutoff in Cottage Grove and Henderson). You can hold off turning in paperwork if you have the reserve in the bank, but you have to remember to get your logs in by the 13 day HOS deadline.

I agree with JD. It really would be best for you to try and read more of the thread. Pay is talked about many times on here. Expanding on what SSB posted to you about pay. You are not paid until your trip or trips are turned in...he listed the cutoff times. It can be one week or two or three and so on. Depends on how long you go before turning the trips in. There are times where it can be a while before you are able to get back to a facility to turn paperwork in. As posted on the thread...there are ways to get pay during those times where getting paperwork in takes a while.

    jdrentzjr and Mev Thank this.
