Hi jrock, welcome to TTR. It looks like you are responding to specific posts but we don't know which ones. Use the "Reply With Quote" button in the bottom right. That little plus sign "+ just right of it you can click on each post you want to respond to and it will put them all neatly in one post. Use "Reply With Quote" on the last post in a multi-quote. :biggrin_25525:

I was interested in RoadRunner also and I just wanted to know if you can give me more insight into the company. I'll be joining as a team driver with my own authority. Is that a good idea?

I have been there 2 months, and only ran 1 broker load. It was very easy. I got a cold call from an agent who asked me where I wanted to go next and how much I needed to be paid. Hooked me up with a 1700 mile run at a fair price, sent me an email confirming everything, a quick phone call to rrts got the fuel money advanced on my fuel card and after that it as all about check calls , this guy was calling me 2 to 3 times a day, understandably since we were working together for the first time. I got the load delivered on time no problems and scanned in, this guy has been calling me almost daily as well as other agents from all over the country.

I don't have a whole lot of insight yet. Mostly my preference right now is to run terminal to terminal freight. Sometimes the 'terminal' isn't an RRTS terminal but another trucking company where I make stops and they unload their freight and forward it from there while I go on to the final terminals.

It works best for me because once I am loaded it's all about production miles and when I get to the terminal typically I drop my trailer and bobtail out for about 20 hours while they reload me for another terminal run. So all my miles are in 1 block of time, say 3 days or so then and all my downtime is in one block of time instead of being all mixed up chasing 500 to 700 mile broker freight drivng days driving nights sitting waiting or running hard and tired, I am on a more steady schedule and love it.

I think teams would do reallly good. I am thinknig of hiring a team mate next month to in fact.
