Faster trucks don't mean more pay anyway, that's just a myth.
Put a calculator to it and you'll see why it's a myth.
I was running coast-to-coast pulling a reefer and asked to change trucks and go from a 68 mph truck to an older 62 mph truck, because the slower truck was much more comfortable and plush inside. I still made all my appointments on time and my annual pay didn't drop a penny. I just stayed in the right lane and was much less stressed at the end of the day.

I couldn't care less what any other drivers thought about it; I was banking money in savings every week.

They said BRAND new Freightliners. If they didn't, they do now. Since the trucks go fast, the Evolution was the only ones they could get to slice through the wind. I think that recruiter is serious. Maybe she really thinks 63 MPH is fast?
