Looks like I might get to work this weekend, after unloading from another pokey load and having 25 hours left on my 70. Yes, I'm running on recapped hours.

I get offered a 610 mile load that live unloads late Sunday night. (They offered it to me Friday morning?) At least I can tcall this one and I have 2 preplans lined up.

Who bought who out? This would be great news to me, as long as it means I'll now be able to send in ppwk anywhere, as opposed to just PilotJLoves(tm).

Since i woke up too darn early this morning i decided to go on back to the cons. It's a good thing I did. Promptly at 0500 they were unloading me. I sent a message that I was getting unloaded (since they still didn't receive an official time from the cons) and asked about getting home to Dallas. They sent me a preplan to Tennesee..haha I wrote back: "that should be TX not TN" to which the usual "that's all we got" came back. So I declined the load and then a very sweet drop and hook came up heading to El Paso followed by a T-call in Wilmer. :yes2557: Sitting in W. Memphis and will be home tomorrow.

The bad news is I go to my personal doctor for my yearly physical. Well this year is the big 50 so a lubed up latex glove is coming up from behind :biggrin_25510: :biggrin_2551:

I'm 49 and I had that particular procedure done for the first time last year. It's not so bad. But my doctor is a woman and they have to bring in another person as an observer which is usually another woman. It is somehow way more uncomfortable to stand there with just a shirt on and nothing else so I took it all off. Nobody got hurt!

just pretend you're talking to weekend dispatch...which is slightly more painful than the poke & probe. Just don't glance at your shoulders to make sure his hands aren't there to keep his balance :biggrin_25521: ...(they hate that old joke)

I must say....weekend staff has been on the ball the last few weeks, at least in my case. Armageddon?

Been doing a lot of "drive, take a 10, drive, 10" the last week or so. After a 1400-mile week augmented by 213.33 in breakdown pay, I had 3172 last week. I'm back east now, as I'm due home next weekend to begin a week away from trucking.....but it will hardly qualify as a vacation! Got a 1900 delivery in Breinigsville, PA this evening, followed by a load to Indiana for Tuesday at 0500.

Does not appear that either of my initial efforts to gain a quality local position will pan out, so onward I go.....

Hang in there man! I know a "home nightly" gig is worth looking for. Maybe a tanker job??
