What can end your trucking career? One accident your fault? How about tickets? Missed delivery times? What if you damage the trailer if you can't backup into a narrow dock?

    Anything else?

Not taking care of your health, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other factors can sneak up on a driver without he/she even knowing. No medical card equals no driving career.

The vast majority of trucking careers end my choice. There are more people who have tried the business and given up then were kicked out. The lifestyle isn't for everyone. You have to enjoy being independent. That sounds much easier then it is. You have to have a very high moral code. Do what is right without having someone looking over you shoulder all the time. Getting in a truck and driving for 11 hours a day is not something that people who need people can do......#### another song coming on.

I know of one man after he turned over 3 trucks he lost his job. I remember another driver of that company saying this drive said this, "I can't understand why they fired me, I had a very good excuse every time I turned over a truck & trailer."

Take a look at what happens to many of the winners, in the end their ending is not very happy. Yet old truck drivers live happily ever after.
