You're right, it's #######.I did that about 18 years ago and I still have to check my caps after fueling. Luckily, I drive a day cab and can look out the back window and see both tank caps.
I forgot to put my fuel cap on after fueling........

I think every driver here atleast once forget to raise the landing gear and start pulling out. Hearing the grinding noise makes most of us stop

Never done that or the tank cap thing. I am guilty of driving away with the doors open though. That happened one time when I waited over 8 hrs. to have 10 pallets of apples unloaded. When they came out and gave me the paperwork, I was so anxious to get out of that place that I drove about a half mile away before realizing the doors were open and still clipped on the sides of the trailer.

I wonder if situations like this will make the capless fuel fillers a reality on big trucks...
