I've graduated CDL school on 6/13. I have been invited to orientation at Con-Way and Werner. I wanted some input on these two companies, hopefully the feed back I receive will help me with my choice. I've been reading these threads for some time now and understand that a starter company is just that. However I'm interested in a company with good training and "decent" pay. Any information I can get on Con-Way's headquarters in Joplin (hotel, surrounding area) would be great. I did some googling and didn't get much info. Werner's Allentown Terminal (where I was invited) had a lot of info from their drivers, mostly bad reviews. I'm not expecting much just want to be prepared.
Con-Way vs. Werner

I'm in trucking school and today we stopped by a truck stop where we all struck up a conversation with two hot chicks running teams for Werner. They were in a 2014 freight liner and they loved their company. They said their pulling up 1200 a week and home on weekends on their dedicated account. Never driven for them but they were happy. They could also be lying about their numbers but they seemed honest.
