The mirror on top of the passenger side door? I drove a truck for a month with one on it but it just reflected on the ground. Didn't seem to do much. Am I wrong? Why would they put it there? What is it for?
what is that mirror for?

It is there so you will be able to see any cars riding in your blind spot.
zoekatya Thanks this. -
It is supposed to be there for checking to see if anything is there when turning. Kind of a blind side mirror but I never use it. Some people take them off.

It shows that blind spot beneath the pass door. Not often but you maybe manuevering in a tight spot that my have a fixed object low to the ground i.e. short pole, fire hydrant. Then you can see whats below your side mirror blind spot.

I can't live with out this mirror. Seems like every dock I get has some kind of obstacle to miss. I set mine to see towards the front tire and also down towards the steps.
