Here is another bear movie from the Yukon. Unfortunately I dropped the phone into my lab and missed some of the footage. I guess I will have to stick to truck driving and should not keep my hopes up for a career in the movie industry.

Murphy is back. I seemed to have picked up my co-driver again and I had a trip that will go down into history books. I will be taking another week off to have my head examined. Maybe they can tell me what is wrong with me and why I do punish myself with what I do for living.
Here are some events that have happened to me in the last two weeks:
Lost the fan clutch in the Peace River Valley with a 10% grade on either side
Got stuck for over 10hrs due to a truck accident on Hwy 29
Waited 2 1/2 days on parts in Fort Saint John, B.C.
Almost lost my load and trailer to a forest fire after leaving it behind in Hudson's Hope, B.C.
Picking up a preloaded trailer in B.C. that scaled at 42,600lbs on the trailer tandems
waiting almost three days on the fish tender to show up with my fish in Seward Alaska
air leak and air valve failure on trailer on Moose Pass, AK
finding a totally destroyed Honda 1500GL Goldwing motorcycle in the middle of the night laying on the Alcan with a severely injured bison yearling cow that is dragging herself of the road
looking and searching for the rider surrounded by a bison herd in the middle of bear country
the idiot actually survived and cost me another 7hrs. The bison unfortunately had to be killed.
Missing my appointment to close on my loan for my condo
Those are pretty much the high lights and the only thing I forgot was the flat tire in the Yukon.
I thought of two more. A check engine light and a coolant leak in the Yukon that I had forgotten.Last edited: Jul 28, 2014

Ive been running up Hwy 37 alot lately and it is just packed with bears right now! And of course tourists who are afraid to go over 80 lol in the fall and winter when I'd go up you would barely see anyone and now it's just like a major highway. You work for Fairchild? I've seen alot of there trucks on the 37 too lately

I almost had a stroke when I looked at the BOL and saw 55,xxxlbs for the weight. I remember all the bears on the Cassiar. I enjoy seeing the bears between Ft. Nelson and Steamboat and I sometimes see 20 black bears in those 75km.
Don't even get me started on the tourists and motorhomes. I spent 7hrs at an accident scene 40km North of Liard River where that fool hit a buffalo with his motorcycle in the middle of the night. I felt more sorry for the buffalo yearling cow than the guy on the bike. He got help quickly.Sshe ended up laying there for 7hrs suffering due to the guys stupidity of riding a motorcycle through there in the dark. -
WOW... Now there is the adventure in trucking! I will stick with the US for now... Just getting this carrier thing down is challenge enough for us

Man I want to go up there. That is on my bucket list of things to do I ask dispatch all the time if they found me a load up there.
