This morning I got fuel. I ran to Intercoastal Paint and waited 1.25 hours for 159# of paint and such. Then off the west beltway for a 10# carton.
Took both to Boatman which is within rock throwing distance of Hobby Airport.
Went to the office to get a thick stack of tickets because since I'm not doing a lot of SDV airport transfers I go through pretty fast.
Then to N2It container for 12 drums on two pallets and took them all the way to the Woodlands, TX. I had been given an SDV pick up going to Cargolux with a 4pm cutoff.
But he told me to pick up at NOV near TC Jester and Tidwell. One carton 11# going to Energy Freight. Got to SDV at 3:30. Knew about two small cartons going to Cathay Pacific airways but only got loaded with Cargolux. They were getting ready for a plane at Cargolux and it took a bit over 30 minutes to get empty.

Got back to SDV at 4:45. They had just opened the gate when he called and said Cathay was cancelled and to go home.

On the way home I stopped at my VERY distant second favorite tire shop and asked about 275/45-16 trailer tires. I asked about off brand new ones and he said $160 each.
He said he had decent used tires starting at $60. He was trying to close so I didn't see any. Got home 6:15ish. Dinner. T.V..

Hershey's DC in Palmyra PA... any guesses as to what's in my wagon? Got this morning's delivery done 5 hours early , so its on this week's settlement. No matter... next week will be a little short cause they push back cutoff a day because of Monday holidays.

Off like a herd 'o turtles! That's if these losers in the guard shack quit playing computer games and get the bills done.

I'm awake. But I had this fool notion that as I got older I'd need less sleep or wake up better.
    Taint so.
Going to go to Conroe Saturday and on the way back going to visit my FAVORITE tire shop!
I figure I've missed at least one good run with the one tire toast.

Somewhere tween lost&found.... ta fix this fluster cluck.....obviously Serious lack of communication tween our buyer&Mexican grower...which usually goes like clockwork..lol
But somehow the 3 loads that we were sposed to meet (as usual)here in the valley..then mix&put different products 2gether fer points Norte....are now in 3different places.....in 2different States....
Not sure if its more like "Kinda like a lost &found in a border town" or "One went east...one went west...one flew over the cuckoos nest"
    LMAO
Talked to the ol man bout hour ago....when he got woke up....asked me what I thought....tol him I was thinkin bout headin ta s padre&headin out fishin fer a day or so.....Told me I was a lot of ####### help.....hey I try ta do my part......

Waiting at SDV. On a side note I grabbed an RC Cola at the convenience store.
It seems a bit smoother than Pepsi or Coke but taste the most like Pepsi I think.
    Something different in any case....

Getting my peas off in Clarkton. Got weighed on a Fairbanks scale this morning thought I was at Lewis Livestock Auction in Conway when no I seen that. It's gone bout like any thing else that's good in trucking.

Finally got my boy to holler calf roped this mornin bout 3 am over on 412. I sure was glad. I know I ought to just let him run but I like keepin up and complaining bout it too much I reckon. He tried to convince an empty bull hauler he was passed by a loaded 350 hp B model CAT. He didn't buy that story at all lol

oh FREAKING goody. Dead by the side of the road. The same area as before is dripping transmission fluid so the hose busted or blew off the pipe.
The mechanic will be along eventually. ...
