2013 VOLVO 780 D13, 13 spd. tractor. Just from the age one would think Volvo would install a radio that is Sirius compatible but ?

I dont think it is... I havent called Brucknertruck.com in Texas with the VIN number yet, been driving like a Hebrew Slave!

Unless it says Sirius on the head unit, then no.

Honestly always preferred the separate units anyway

    Thank you Joeseph.

Thats the way Radio in the 2007 Volvo hunk of junk I was driving was. Said Sirius in white ink on the face plate.

    NOT THIS ONE....

The only problem is with seperate units is when you get to an area where BOTH your NON SIRIUS AM FM MP3 CD Player Radio & your Sirius Tuner is tuned is tuned to the same channel and there is a Radio Station using that channel for radio you have to re-tune , change channels on BOTH UNITS. I'm rolling and I'm dodging idiots on the roadway everyday, I'm not gunna pull over and waste my driving time to re-tuned channels on BOTH the radio and the Sirius tuner..

Yesterday I drove 703.4 miles and it would have been more but I woke up 20 mins late and a line of trucks were stuck behind this Wide Load Flatbed hauling this giant track Excavator and he was doing everything his ole' Pete would muster out, 60 mph... I was in the middle of 5 trucks behind the Wide Load and when I figured out what the hold up was I just hung back, everybody behind me was trying to pass me, trucks in front of me & were trying pass on a two lane highway, old 287 north of Amarillo.. We were about 100 mi north of Amarillo when this jam up occoured...

Just put a Sirius-capable aftermarket head unit in the dash and avoid all that mess.

You can take it out the dock and plug it in a different one like I do with my personal car. Or home dock. But it does clutter my dash and more wires hanging around

    Different (extra) features.
This is some of the 'extra stuff'
    The Onyx Plus has..

Pause, rewind and replay live satellite radio plus all your Smart Favorite channels
Automatically start songs from the beginning when you tune to a Smart Favorite music channel with TuneStart
Create your own music channel that is a blend of your Smart Favorite music channels with TuneMix
Scan and select songs that have already played on your Smart Favorite music channels with TuneScan

Get an XM/Sirius Direct connect adapter. 20 bucks at pretty much any truck stop. Installs behind the radio and runs between the antenna and the in-dash head unit. I have one and running 48 states OTR I may change the FM channel once every ten days or so.
