when I first came here I had a Prostar for about a week until it had an issue and Crete just gave me this truck instead of paying me breakdown pay.

The Maxxfart Engine is slower compared to the DD15 and I don't know why but the shifter in that truck was horrible it was soo loose and would never want to get in gear.
However it certainly was more comfortable than the freightshaker.. better ride and better seats. Has more space and more options in it as well.
As much as I love the Engine in the Freightliner everything else is garbage, I'd rather have an International.
a 1997 ford escort has better quality interior parts than in this truck.

Speaking of trucks.. does Crete send you to Lincoln to get your new truck or are they sent to all the different terminals?

and why the *********** don't they get the trucks and trailers matched up with colors already.
it's looks soo dumb when a blue truck is pulling a red Crete trailer.

The interior of your freightliner is is what it is because that's how Crete is ordering it...cheap as possible...also check the sticker on driver door window to see if yours is made in Mexico or North Carolina..

Was his name Todd? That was mine, just got a message about going to another position in the company on Friday. Except he was there Saturday, when I sent a freeform explaining that I had no service brakes on the trailer and my ETA would be unknown.

566 miles from New Kingstown to cons, I might just make it on time, if I can park there. If not, it's out the window, as I can't pre-trip for another 20 minutes, and 566 miles through the mountains of VA plus Fancy Gap = around 10 hours.

And yesterday was the day from the seventh level of Hell. Sick (cold/sore throat) the previous night, didn't really sleep well, and still sick yesterday... pick up this trailer with nearly 42,000 in it...1st stop sign, HOLY ####, I CAN'T STOP THIS MOTHER ######, so after that I crawl with the flashers on to the first place I can get off the road, do a number of checks and determine that the service brakes on the trailer are in fact not working...call breakdown, guy comes out and gets them working again, get down to Watertown, get on the scale, go grab a bite at the diner, go to get back in the truck...WHERE THE #### DID MY ####### TRUCK KEY GO?! IT WAS ON THE KEYRING THIS MORNING!!!!"

Manage to get back in thanks to the help of the tire shop next door...get going again...oh, whaddya know? No brakes on the trailer again. *()@&^()%*#$&)%#$(*ytp)(*&$)5870$*&#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call breakdown again, same guy comes out and gets them working again...get going down the road for real, finally...

By this point the sore throat has diminished but the cold is worse, I get south of Syracuse into the hills... one of my ears popped and didn't un-pop until sometime last night while I slept.

And I'm still sick today...coughing and ####... oy.

My experience was they offered me a new FL in Marietta and I picked up a new Prostar in SLC. So Lincoln isn't the only place to get a new truck. They probably have them delivered to several terminals.

It use to be only Lincoln, but the last half dozen years, the major terminals were getting them(as in Wilmer, Indy, Marietta, Lincoln, Lenoir City and Columbus...not sure about the western pit of the universe...SLC).

Truck I was in got sold. I wanted a double bunk for my wife to ride along. I was routed to Marietta to swap trucks and they claimed they didn't have any old or new double bunks but they had a brand new mid-roof FL. I refused it and they eventually routed me to SLC to go in an old double bunk. But the double bunk in SLC didn't have elogs and they wouldn't rig it for elogs. They insisted that I move out of the sold truck and I took a new mid-roof Prostar off their yard. Of course when I came back a couple months ago they put me in a double bunk in Deland.

    tucker Thanks this.
