On my own for only my second week and had a small accident last night while trying to park in a Pilot lot.. I saw an open spot to my right so I pulled straight into one on my left so I could back into the one on the right.. When I was turning into the left one, I clipped my trailer on a parked tractor.. Put a little ding on my trailer and a little damage to the other tractor above his headlight.. It was nighttime and raining at the time but no excuse on my part. Called my dispatch who told me to get a police report and the other drivers info.. When driving away to my next pick up it felt like my trailer was twice as big! LOL

So you pulled left and your trailer hit his tractor. Use those mirrors when you turn into spaces like that. I rather spin the truck around and back in 90 than doing what you were trying to do

We learn from our mistakes. Or at least we should.
A little problem like this may be a good thing in the long run.Now you know how easy it is to mis-judge distance, and backing can cause a problem is you do not check before moving.
Let this lesson be a learning experience, and do a better job next time. Good luck.

Learn to carry a bit of cash with ya. You'd be amazed at what was "unseen' when you flash a bennie or two at someone...
