a few bad apples even in a company with a couple hundred trucks can spike that Hours of service THRESHOLD quick. Vehicle maintenance, a lot of that is on the drivers too. The owners and shop people at most companies simply don't have time to inspect every truck and trailer that comes into the yard every day. Looks like a lot of their drivers are lax with pretrips, and passing it up to the next guy so he can get nailed at a scale.

Hi juan92658 AD Transport is a good company also if you can go to Canada Mavron Transport in Lincoln Park could wor for you.
juan92658 Thanks this. -
Before DAC? That was 15 or more years ago! Another question. How can you say what they WILL do when you didn't give them the courtesy of actually working for them???? "Got the first punch in??????" What kind of way is that to view your employment? Truck driving is a serious profession with serious repercussions and it deserves mature and responsible people.

I was at AD Transport 4 1/2 years, I left August this year. Overall it was good I didn't have any major problems ,always got home on time and the equipment is well maintained. They do a lot of east coast runs not my favorite places to go . Also often you would have to switch back and forth from day and night driving sometimes twice a week the way the loads were scheduled kind of erratic I didn't like it because sometimes I couldn't sleep . Now I just run from Michigan to usually Laredo or El Paso,TX and back about 3200-3600 miles a week have a restart or 2 days off at home. AD Transport was not bad but I like the type of loads and running area I do now a lot better.

I work for Point Dedicated Services out of Troy,MI now. Its mostly a team company but they do have solos also . You're right its unusual for a solo driver to do these types of runs. You need at least 2 years experience and a good record. We haul auto parts only. Its dedicated lanes from Michigan to south Texas then you go back often to Ohio or back to Michigan. I have went to Buffalo once , that's the farthest east you go . No east or west coast.

All I gotta say is AD Transport isn't a bad company at all of course not perfect but few if any are. I'd recommend this company to any driver with experience. Trucking isn't always fun but you just do ur bedt and goof will come. Finally just like to note that Ad Transport has some of the best equipment and has mostly all new trucks and trailers aren't old either most 3 yrs or newer.
