The 2.5 hr of down time waiting on roadside assistance kinda suck oh well
-
Low gear some visegrips .. Worse comes to worse disconnect air leveller valve on truck to raise trailer off ground 15 to 30 minutes and your on your way
DoneYourWay, blairandgretchen and Hammer166 Thank this. -
Ya. Unfortunately I'm not a mechanic and carry no tools union driver.. all OT anyhow.
-
I guess it's just me,, but I can't fathom being a truck driver, no matter if local or OTR... and not carrying at least the basics of tools.
Why put yourself in a position where a simple, simple, 5 minute fix... ends up costing you (or the company) hours and hours.
Breakdowns of any nature... one thing's for sure... it's not "if" they happen... it's a guaranteed "When".otherhalftw, Panhandle flash, icsheeple and 11 others Thank this. -
I was thinking the same thing. If I had to call road service for a crank handle snapping off I'd probably just pack up my toys, turn in my man card and go home. I had this happen last year and cranked the dang thing up with a big screw driver in low gear. I'm a owner OP though and not a company guy so it was my nickel.KW Cajun and nshore harleyguy Thank this.

Go easy there He-Man!!!!!
-
Drag em till they break off, then blame . . . someone or something else!

Hey SHO-TYME, I sure wouldn't want to get in a scrap with someone who can twist a dolly handle off.
Speedloader, Mr Ed, DoneYourWay and 4 others Thank this.
