    The 2.5 hr of down time waiting on roadside assistance kinda suck oh well

    Low gear some visegrips .. Worse comes to worse disconnect air leveller valve on truck to raise trailer off ground 15 to 30 minutes and your on your way

    Ya. Unfortunately I'm not a mechanic and carry no tools union driver.. all OT anyhow.

    I guess it's just me,, but I can't fathom being a truck driver, no matter if local or OTR... and not carrying at least the basics of tools.
    Why put yourself in a position where a simple, simple, 5 minute fix... ends up costing you (or the company) hours and hours.
    Breakdowns of any nature... one thing's for sure... it's not "if" they happen... it's a guaranteed "When".

    I was thinking the same thing. If I had to call road service for a crank handle snapping off I'd probably just pack up my toys, turn in my man card and go home. I had this happen last year and cranked the dang thing up with a big screw driver in low gear. I'm a owner OP though and not a company guy so it was my nickel.
