OFTOTR, maybe you're right. But how do you know for sure without trying it? The inability or unwillingness of old school truckers like us to come together and fight for our
rights is allowing corporations and DOT to walk all over us. If we don't stand up for ourselves, nobody will. I will only turn the petition in if I get 100 signatures. Even if that many :biggrin_255::biggrin_255:signatures doesn't get Coulter to think twice about degrading our "home away from home" with driver-facing cameras, at least we took a stand together.:biggrin_255:

    againstthewind Thanks this.

    A petition?
Just call in to the switch board and they'll connect you to whoever you want. They'll talk your ear off, after all, it beats staring at the clock waiting for quitting time.

Me, I see a few drivers on the other side playing on their phone, holding it up to their ear or the ones with the white curtain covering the window. WTF?
Those, I always say on the cb, "#### Crete, you must be ugly as ####, if the DOT makes you cover your side windows"
And if you flash your lights at me, as to say Hi, have your radio on.

As I see it, a petition is superior to a phone call for two reasons: the time and commitment it takes to collect so many signatures and the sheer number of
them will give Coulter the strong impression that we are united and serious. I've put my truck # next to my readable signature (my JOHN HANCOCK), but
truck #'s are not required, just a signature. If we stand united, we can make our voices heard.:biggrin_255:

Crete does NOTHING that doesn't increase profit. The only reason the pay rate is where it's at is so that if they got a petition with 5000 signatures about anything, they'd rather refill a few more seats than usual than to lose an insurance reduction, risk csa points, etc. Never seen one crete policy that wasn't intended to increase profit, whether it be for savings, improved margins or an incentive just good enough to fill a seat. I know all companies are like this, but Crete has just always hit my radar as being a bit extra soulless...

Point blank...the way Crete can get better drivers and not have a turnover rate like they have now is to bring back the load select dispatch they used to have.

If you don't like a camera watching you while driving in your truck then turn in the truck and go find another job.
As long as they have drivers that will put up with this kind of BS then it will never end. There are plenty of companies
that don't have cameras watching you. There are plenty of companies that don't make you submit to a sleep Apnea test.
If your happy with a company that treats you like a potential criminal or thinks your going to fall asleep while your driving
then good for you. I think the vast majority of drivers will never submit to these violations of their personal privacy. Any
company that would make you submit to this sort of thing does not care about you one bit. If you ever had any kind of
incident or accident they will throw you under the truck to save themselves from a lawsuit.

I'd say the trucking company with the driver looking at porn and crashing into the police car and killing an officer, ended up paying millions more, than if they weren't filming.

Someday it'll be mandatory in all trucks.

After babysitting this shag ALL weekend in Northern Indiana, looks like I'm due hometime. I need some time off.

Maybe they mailed me a decent safety award this time. hint, hint

Your safety bonus this quarter is a DIY cab camera installation kit sitting on your front porch waiting for you...and the camera is live streaming as we speak so they can see you get home..30 seconds later your qualcomm will beep with orders to install before your next load...and big brother Tonn will be watching to make sure you do it correctly

Didn't get a camera with the recent truck swap. Neither did another driver swapping at the same time. Maybe we could lighten up a little?
