You go off route on purpose..? Most loads are interstate to interstate, just stay on the right ones and that's it... You're killing drive hours, as well as your personal time and income. Seriously, I think you'd be better off just listening to your GPS.

Reason 1 for not trusting your GPS:

    https://gma.yahoo.com/driver-report...-park-gps-195023095--abc-news-topstories.html

Reason 2 GPS units screw up:

(These pic's are of my GPS that had it's miles reset last weekend in Grand Prairie, TX. I ran from there to Jacksonville, FL, up to Fargo, GA and am not sitting between Houston and San Antonio...notice the moving average on pic 1? 1500+ mph, but max speed of 70ish?...Garmin has apparently figured out some way to alter physics or alter the space/time continuum)

Well, I got thru the week of WalMart hell. I figured I lost between 300 and 400 dollars for the period. Run a day load, come back, go to bed, check in the next morning at 8, only to be told no loads til late in the afternoon.

Technically, I pulled the first load on Thursday. It didn't stop me from going in on Wednesday ask to be released. "But today is your seventh day", I was told.

"Yes, but considering it took two days of short stupid loads to get me here, I've basically been tethered to this routine for eight days. You do what you want...I'll be in my truck".

30 minutes later, I was headed to Tulsa with a Crete trailer. I don't care if I get the $150 bonus for completing the week or not....I wanted out of there. Being Sunday, this should be my last week as a Creten. Plan is to be at Marietta next Saturday for wifey to pick me up.

Dude, that article is the worst excuse for GPS fearmongering I've ever seen. That driver was a senile old man with no driving experience, and there is NO way his GPS took him into a park, if it was a truck GPS.

He was fifty years old. FIFTY. Hardly senile. Stupid, yes. But hardly senile.

That driver was an idiot & you know he's lying when he says his GPS told him to go that way. The guy made a mistake and probably panicked like the USA Truck driver.

    48Packard Thanks this.

Didn't mean to upset the old guys on here, haha.

The article I read. That was slightly more detailed, said he seemed either senile or just not all their. Obviously this man was not of average intelligence.

    48Packard Thanks this.

All the 50 year olds (or older) that I have ever met are "not quite right in the head"

This is the 3rd load in a row that cannot deliver on time. This one was preloaded Friday night and they just sit on it, I guess nobody was near Indy yesterday wanting a load.
I should have took off an extra extra day.
