I like how they were kind enough to make 9' wide lanes for out 8'6" trailers. Really went out of heir way in some states...

Finally got around to LIGHTING UP THE NIGHT ......the standard halogen headlight bulbs just were not cutting the mustard any longer. I hooked myself up with Sylvania SilverStar ($35 Pair) for the low beam bulbs and Sylvania SilverStar ZXE ($55 Pair) for the high beam bulbs. The part number for low/high is both H11, which is different from my past Cascadia which was 2006 for lows and 2005 for highs. So I say this is convenient all around ! WHAT A FREAKIN DIFFERANCE !!!!

They're great. BUT keep in mind that they will burn out MUCH faster than standard headlight bulbs would. I used to run Silverstars exclusively when I was in a lease truck. The Silverstars were alot better than stock but I'd go through several sets per year.

I don't think brighter is always better. I know,it's better for the driver, but I'm really, REALLY tired, of not being able, to tell if someone has ridiculously strong headlights or left their highbeams on. Some headlights are flat out blinding now.

Also could be the headlight are out of adjustment. ...there's so many drivers who don't even know how to do something simple as headlight adjustments. ..I've actually seen drivers come into the ta shop to have wipers installed..

Indy installed some weird wiper blades at my last B service, they're frameless, I hope the snow doesn't stick to them. At least I have long arms to reach out and flick the drivers side wiper going down the road.

EDit. after watching this http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1195779?ref=feeds/latest down in the accident thread, I finally got a dash cam. I went with the Garmin C 10, mainly because Garmin is the best GPS, and the C 10 is a Chevy, and because I had the Pilot points.

Shouldn't you be out there working on the MIL's room?

I am...it's called multi-tasking. I got the insulation in, all the bracing in...hanging rock tomorrow and Tuesday. Then my 'beaner-in-law' will tape and texture (I'm talking about my son-in-law...and he knows I am kidding him when I call him my beaner-in-law)

Home. Got back to Marietta yesterday morning, got the truck cleaned out and cleaned up and left about 2:30. Got the all-clear from the checker, turned in my door lock, and everything was hunky dory. Put 299,600 miles on that last Cascadia I had. Still a good truck, once that I might have considered purchasing myself had I decided to go O/O with Crete.

Now, two weeks of some relaxing, some working, some enjoying new grandchildren (and old grandchildren), and enjoying what I will just say is a very nice and completely unexpected blessing that came for Christmas.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas wherever you may be. Please be safe, and I'll check back in once I'm rolling with the Pumpkin again.
