Good morning, Denali. Gonna hafta get moving.

Weren't you a pilot as well as FAA?

    I forget...

Yes. First a commercial pilot for 15 years or so, then FAA for 27 in the surveillance, certification and regulatory enforcement division. Long time. With a wee bit of time in the part that wrote regulations based on changes to the U.S. Code.

    That's awesome experience, Denali.

Today's truck, call her '21', is a 2013 Mack day cab with 317,000 at start, 317,218 now. Taking 10 here at Pilot after fueling (tractor diesel and DEF) since the guys ahead said gonna take a while. Pretty wet this morning all the way in, 4 hours driving and 218 miles, a few miles short of receiver.

//Ended up taking 30 at Pilot since receiver wasn't ready yet. Took good cared of me when I arrived. Other guys were just signing bills as I arrived.

    Easy day today.

I am going to Kentucky tomorrow. Boss man called me at 2pm. and asked me to switch loads for tomorrow. I really do not mind. The St.Louis load pays 4 more miles than the Kentucky load.

Taking a 10 down in Greenville, IL.

Will be rolling past Vics area in the middle of the night trying to stay ahead of the morning ice.

That storm is looking kinda rough.

I40 was closed from Kingman to Williams in AZ so I'm half a day behind on a load I was given while on home time.

Called dispatch as I started rolling this morning. New person answered. Let me know the customer wanted delivery 1/2 midday and was annoyed. Told them customer will really want it 1/4 mid morning then. (Silence over the air waves).

Regular dispatcher called a couple of hours later confirming 10:00 Sunday ETA. Hinted not to pick on the new kids....

ampm wayne and Victor_V Thank this.

It's going to be nasty. Right now, all the slush is melting but the temps are going to drop 20+ degrees and then guess what's going to happen to all the water on the ground...and roadways?

Things seemed to be drying as a came out from Sayer, OK. Hoping it stays dry and only the temp drops.

Looks like I'll fill the refer in the morning and splash some to the tractor in the morning. Want to end in Cinci-tucky @ 1/2 tanks.

    ampm wayne Thanks this.
