So I was looking at the 2015 registration and something jumped out at me... a municipality in which we are registered for 36 thousand something. Then I saw it...

Several of 'em, in fact. Looked closer... BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NL, NS, PE... hmmmmm...

Now, I know it costs more money to be registered in more places... 'specially Canada, everything is expensive up there, eh... and if I know anything about Crete, it's that they won't spend a dime on anything they think they don't need to spend a dime on... maybe we're about to find out a better reason for all the "gives" that went into effect at the beginning of this month? If the "take" is running into Canada, I won't be complaining... in fact, I'd be making a beeline to get a passport.

This would be awesome. I already have a passport and my record is clean. I am ready and will. Crete is getting better and better.

Many years ago Crete ran some freight into Ontario and Quebec. But not nearly as much as other big companies.

I'd probably go back to Canada. But I won't go back to Quebec.

They were not on there last year (2014) but ON and QC have been on my registration in all previous years (save 2014).

Yea. I'm torn about the price. I can buy a Coleman 12 volt cooler and have 400 dollars for food. Just thinking about summer if those coolers hold up.

I passed a trio of new Crete Freightliners enroute to Wilmer. All 3 were condo's...either the team/trainer trucks are coming in or they got a special deal on some double bunks for some lucky solo drivers.

In my tenure at Crete I was offered 1 Canadian load(before the requirement of a passport, when you could cross with just an original birth certificate....which I didn't carry, so I didn't go)...this was waaaaay before the '08 recession. Didn't realize they were even going north of the border again.

Honestly, for that price they sell a universal fridge that looks like a cooler, but is a portable fridge with a freezer compartment, and not thermo-electric, but cooled with real refrigerant. Maybe not quite as much capacity, but much easier to move if a truck swap is necessary.
