Possibly me as I rolled through there yesterday (between 1000-1200 most likely) on my way to Henderson. I always take the back roads through to Roswell and up to Cline's Corner.

Unfortunately Snack Bar is likely going to blow by me on miles as stupid ### BS has got me side lined until the 17th. Never received a notice about my HazMat expiring and having to remove it from my DL or renew it. And since I never got that letter, only the letter after the fact stating my DL had been suspended for 30 days without possibility to reactivate it, I get to spend a few extra days at home. Luckily I was able to roll 21 days of the 30 day suspension so kind of eases the pain. So looks like I will be spending more time at the poker tables than I had planned to make up the excess:)

I dropped my Hazmat when I renewed in January. I got the warning that I would need to get my background check started in Sept....but I ignored it and just went in Christmas time and dropped it off my license. In FL, without Hazmat, you get more time before renewing again, and I figured that if I left and went to work somewhere that had to have it, I would add it back on then. Most places give you an opportunity to get it as long as you're willing.

Well, the reset fairy has paid me a visit. My back haul, which is an odd and confusing one, doesn't pick up until Monday. You know it's going to be one of those loads when the broker says "oh, you got that load...are you stopped so you can write all the info down, or do you want me to text it to you?"...and it's not a Coyote load. I pick up Monday in Quincy, WA deliver Monday in Prosser, WA. Then pick Monday afternoon in Hermiston, OR going to Dallas...good thing I am doing a reset, I'll burn a log book up in just load/unload/load time. But...more miles, more stops and a reset...plus nice weather for a change. I might go a whole week without snow or ice.

The only loads that I have picked up in Quincy and Hermiston have been onions. If they are the same ones that I have had the Quincy one is quick (I arrived the night before and just backed up to the dock). There are a couple of places in Hermiston that I have picked up from and they are both easy to get to. The one on the north east side of town was pretty slow.

I've picked up at Quincy before...and when I looked up Hermiston, it's in the area of the DOT scale as you 1st come in to OR. But it's definitely onions...Going to Dallas to the Diamond Onion place.

Been an interesting day. I picked up in Quincy, then took the windiest 2 lane country roads down to my delivery 20 miles south of Prosser, WA...then proceeded down to my next p/u down near Hermiston, OR...which included dirt roads. My eyes won't stop watering for a day or two from all this onion aroma...:biggrin_2553:. Then it's off to Dallas. Will have 4200 miles and 7 stops (5 paid) on this load. That'll put me in the mid 5's for the month and mid 26k's for the year by Friday the 13th :biggrin_25521:. I am running about 3500-4000 miles ahead of this time last year. And by the repeated requests for empty trailers that have been coming across the q/comm, it sounds like things are starting to pick up out of GP...could be a blockbuster year.

Well it certainly reads as if things have turned around for you folks at Poly vs what y'all were writing a few months ago. Glad to see it.
