Just got my lazy ### outta bed in Hereford Texas. Was thinking bout going home but taking a nap changed my attitude. Whether it changed for the better or worse is yet to be determined. Guess I will make a few calls and see what's going on

Well well... Bridges went and got itself a facelift!

I was a little scared when I first saw it... There were those static cling images on the windows; those weren't there before. ...and the company it advertised I'd only seen on chains.

Thank god the food didn't change. Took a walk around the area to let the food settle before bed. This is going to be a good week for miles, tomorrow I'm out to Irving, tx. By week end I anticipate 2,600 miles will be run in 5 days time.

It still amazes me the pay difference...I started this off just looking for a pay raise. Ended up finding and learning a great deal more. I may just stick around after all.

    tsavory and chopper103in Thank this.

I'm not a happy camper here... :biggrin_25513: Not at all... Got the calculation done by the state government office (I don't know how to call it in English)... of how much I must pay in taxes to obtain ONE... just one of the documents necessary to change dad's deed so we can make the house available for sale... When I saw the amount.. it was like a punch on my stomach! :biggrin_25521:
That + ALL the other expenses related to this house deal + dad and his companion's trip to Rio to deal with this... I told him I would pay for their air ticket + hotel + transportation... But I may have to borrow some money from him... or we may not be able to do everything...
He is in CE right now, trying to obtain some other documents to bring with him... And I am here, in the hotel... paying hotel + restaurants + lots of phone calls + this and that every day...
Had my first session of physical therapy today... Would like to have 3 sessions per week till I leave this country... Freaking sciatica pain has been stubborn...
All I hope is that I am able to complete 80% of this house thing before I leave Brasil... And hopefully, the rest of the process will be done successfully by real state folks... I wish I had more confidence in them though... :biggrin_2552: But I'll not stay here till end of May or June... Bureaucracy in this country totally SUCKS! :biggrin_25510:
And hopefully the folks who are interested in buying the house... after they rent it for one year, will really go thru with that... I am very tired of all this, the house, its maintenance, the fear that someone will invade it if it's left abandoned...
I will be happy if I am able to recuperate all the money I've spent with this house so far... Shall see...

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

Round tires (as opposed to oval or square) are a revelation!
Houston potholes don't keep them round so easily.
3 today. Two cartons (that I got at Expro last week. One of which got rejected yesterday. Paperwork from SDV, cartons from Hazmat Packing and deliver to KLM.
Two separate tickets which is helpful.
Then right at Noon I arrived at Perkins Southern Plains and waited until 1 pm to get loaded with an engine at 1700-1800# that I took down to Texas Underground in Pearland.
At 4:15 I sent "slow eh?".He sent go home buddy.
    Got here 6:15.

On the tire thing I got a 35-45% Michelin for $50 mounted and balanced. And got one of the rears I replaced with the 315/70-17D put on the other rim. It doesn't have much life left but IS round...
