I80 is closed in both directions right now from Laramie to Cheyenne. My co-driver is pissed and wants to keep going. I'm thrilled to be alive and safe at the Petro x310. Hopefully things will open up by tonight so we'll have a chance to make our delivery on time in Missouri tomorrow night.

now it is already closed at Rawllins, and points east. I can see already where this is heading. I have to go to Minnesota from Idaho, and I think I am going to stick to I 90 instead of I 80, cut through Yellowstone Park and the north side of the Black Hills. And it is going to feel like a tropical paradise compared to that God forsaken land in Southeast Wyoming

and I'd rather run i-90 across Montana then deal with some of these people on Interstate 80 as well

Whew!!! Finally made it out of laramie.

Headed to utah, yesterday 70 west of denver was closed. Made my way to laramie on 287 out of ft collins last night during the lul ofbad weather. This morning was almost comical as soon as they open either east or west bound 80 traffic another wreck would close it 10 mins later.

People were in such a hurry to get going they were wrecking on the ramps to 80. Straight comedy.

that right there is why I sit right where I'm parked when they announce the road is reopened because just like you stated give it a few minutes the lunatics will cause a scene to have the roads closed back up again

and that is exactly what I'm doing right now. I 80 is the worst interstate in the country, from sea to shining sea.

I80 was completely open the last time I checked, with a bunch of slick spots in the bad areas but if we get bad, but I guarantee, if I would have went that way, there would have been a massive pile up again, 50 miles before I got there. I'll take the Sun and fun up here in Montana over that crap down and Wyoming.

whoever made that educated decision to kick all the trucks off of I 80 on dry roads yesterday, you deserve to sit on a cactus and get a one finger salute. But that goes also for those who drove around the barricades and hinder the cleanup effort as well

dry roads to laramie, if you were coming from the west, but there was NO PLACE left to park in Laramie, except on the travel lanes of the interstate, which hinders the clean up operation. What do you want them to do when they have to call in the rotory plows after 24 inches of wet spring snow? and two day of clean up from the stupidity of todays drivers?

Sherman, the hill between laramie and cheyenne closes every spring due to this same type of incident. And the steering wheel holders just keep pilling in up to the road closed gates, because they don't know how to read a map, and find an alternative route...

The federal government should have never put the interstate through the elk mountain region, but that is where it is. Not much choice for sherman. This is a winter area, average elevation for I80 across wyoming is above 6500 ft...

The persons who made the decision, lawyers. Wyoming has been sued by idiots who do not pay attention to the weather, and got stranded, stuck, injured, ran out of food, died The city of laramie even was sued and lost because there was not any room left for people to stay and wait. That is why the road was closed. The victim mentality of today's society, that the government must provide.
