That's true. But it's an automatic DQ for hitting a curb when you take your driving portion. For everyone.
Personally, I would like one of the finest of ANY state to come show me how NOT to hit a curb at some shippers/recievers.
I wonder how many hoods they would take off? If they didn't take a hood off, I wonder how many times they would have to flash a badge, and make someone move "something" for them![]()
Can I get some sympathy here?

I'm pretty sure common sense would dictate that testors are not to "direct" or offer advice to testees during the examination. More like, "When it' safe to do so, make a left hand lane change..." I 'm willing to bet they're required to give those directions ver batum (sp?). but don't doubt your experience. Douche-bag......? Understandable. Why can't people keep their ego in check and just do their job as it's laid out? Gotta love it! Hey, that reminds me of yet another corny story...
I was playing catcher in a softball game when the this guy hits a weak fly ball to left field. It's clearly going foul and just before it lands I mutter, That's foul" The ball lands maybe two feet left o' the line and the ump yells, "Fair ball!" After watching a couple guys touch home plate, the ball comes to the infield and the ump says in a quiet voice, "Maybe I was wrong" as his eyes caught mine. I learned my lesson. And my place. -
Testers (Highway Patrol) for the now closed Oxford, AL area test site. Advised students to swing as wide as they could for one turn on the test. There was an 8 ft drop on the blind side. More than one student allowed the tandems to drop over the edge.
But many students were DQ'd immediately after that turn, for coasting down the hill to the light. -
When working for a major HHG moving company the fleet manager hired a guy who rolled a CRST trailer in his first week of training. I was told to go with him to make his first household pickup. I told my fleet manager if he crashes I am going to be real mad. This new driver took out the shippers mailbox at arrival. The crew loaded the trailer and I filed the claim forms for the shipper to get a new mailbox. On the way out of the residential area this new driver took out the belly box on the trailer with a fire hydrant on the first corner gunning the motor and smoking the tires. I took the city bus back to the terminal. Sympathy I have none left.

I failed the first time too, forgot to put the splitter down and had the truck in 5th not 1st. Yay!
thestoryteller Thanks this. -
My trainers did it so constantly that we were actually surprised when our splitter was where it belonged..........
Checking it is a constant automatic response for me now...... (duh.. you think that might have been their goal?...LOL...)
But THE EXAMINER?
That's not right!
